Did you ever relize lots of ships are named after countries, provences, and lakes, rivers, streams, and oceans, and seas? Estonia - in Northern Europe. Adriatic - in the Adriatic sea. Lusitania - in a provence. Those are some I can just think off the top of my head. I'm not saying they sunk there if you misread it, I'm saying they are named like that. You will be missed Estonia, 1994 or 3.

@sega88100 and when estonia went trough the waves at full speed so always when new wave came it pushed the bow visor up and that could also cause it to drop

@alyster206 Actually Estonia was sunk due the leak in the hull below waterline. The bow visor was removed afterwards to justify impossible sinking. The cause of leak remains unknown but the possibilities are poor maintenance, collision or explosion. To sink a ship like Estonia you must flood the super structure below car decks and thats what reportedly happened after which the ship capsized and went under immediately.

@Antonetzcu In case of hull being intact the ship would have( not sunk att all) floated upside down due the air trapped in the decks below car deck. All simulation that show the ship floating on its side (90 degree list) are propagana because the deckhouse or the floors above the car deck are no water or air tight. So the deckhouse will provide zero boyancy. So after the flooding of 0-1 decks ship developed over 40 degree list an totally lost its stability.
