  • Oh America...

  • sometimes I cant understand this drama accent.

  • I think everyone is being a bit harsh. I enjoyed watching this vid. I like the costumes, the atmosphere and the Scottish accents! Not all productions have to be the same.

  • this is awful.

  • my choir sung in this!! :D

  • you should use costumes of the time, what is this? it looks like the 19th century with emo kids! be accurate damn't!

  • @ThePurelogic There is no restriction within theatre that all plays from the 16th century must be clad in Elizabethan garb. Have you not seen Ian McKellan's Richard III? The costume and setting was in the style of Nazi Germany. I wonder why youa re not arguing that I should not have used female performers, as of course, there were no actresses at the time....

  • @ThePurelogic I completely agree. He cannot even do the Latin- at 3: 21 it should be "Benne deserere at finis logices" (wrong Latin spelling). Also, since when have the lines 'and this the man that in his study sits' meant a basement?

  • you know, at times those dames sound real sweet, particularly when they don't all speak at once.

I should also give homage to the music, which makes more riper this chorus.

  • I am of little or no Heuristic Value.

  • I cant hear anything being said in the begining because of the organ music. Although a nice touch was intended, the dialog takes second stage here. Shame I looked eldewhere for this as I cant hear anything..

  • @tucup Yeah, the trouble was that the camera was sat next to the speaker system and there is no audeince to muffle the sound as it was a dress rehearsal. Wish I had recorded it from different angles now and edited it together. We live and learn :)

  • Faustus was more of a contemptible figure than Macbeth!

  • Aren't you cultured

  • I am but a fetid malodorous pile of Feces.

  • Just learned how to use a thesaurus too.

  • Methinks that I may suffer from an acute Rhetorical Apoplexy. This is a benign pedagogical disorder marred by Apotheosis of Wit, lewd verbosity, and vile exhibitions of grandeur.

In short, I am a pedant.

  • Alright fine, you've managed to win me over. I take back my sarcasm.

  • Someone should tell the organist to tone it down before he chokes on the scenery.

  • where is edinburgh??? please someone tell me!

  • in scotland

  • scotland you doucher, read a fricking book

  • from the way you talk, it looks you have never read one yourself...

  • Scotland, you un-geographical fool. You must surely be a dumbass or else feigning to be one.

  • me?

  • in scotland :D

  • organ is too overpowering

  • Comment removed

  • A small piece of advice to whoever played Faustus, slow down. You're speaking too fast and the text is hard enough to understand as it is.

  • tragicall!

    HAHAHAHA!

  • It was actually spelled like that in the text.

  • Wait.... this isn't the opera is it?

    O_O

    lulz.

  • it's hard to hear the dialogue, too much echo.

  • i agree :) i'm trying to really listen...:) like way carefully

  • its due to the fact there are no "bodies" in the performance space. this was a dress rehearsal, the night before the opening. When people were in there, the sound was muffled better and could be heard perfectly, but we couldn;t film the actual shows as there was nowhere to put the camera so it was the dress rehearsal or nothing

  • I like muffled sound, because it gives it atmosphere of a raw black metal song. I have to watch all of it. Thanks for uploading this show.

  • my savior im supposed to report this!
