when i was a kid i drove my dads 76 scout ll 2wd with chains on the back through all kinds of stuff! speed + chains + 2wd = lots of fun!...love your scout it brings back lots of memorys!...and JACKING...and winching and....

question why do you have chains? the scout should have enough weight and power to make it up that trail.

Probably due to the cold conditions. Might have had some ice patches to deal with.
