"Why is it that people always test out their cameras on nature shots? haha maybe because everything in nature already looks really nice anyway" hey good point
Thats the reason I am asking, I am interested in getting a Jag for my HV40 and I was wondering if there would be too much vig without an achromat. What the achromat does is reduces vig and also reduces chromatic aberation.
yeah i've previously thought of buying an achromat but what kept me from from purchasing it was that even with the great abilities of a 35mm adapter, it's still not autofocus so i was considering buying a dslr with hd video...
Just a really simple tip I found to be tremendously helpful myself: I realized that putting a piece of tape over the focus adjustment wheel helped avoid so much trouble
especially with the hv30 i use, my finger kept undoing the focus calibration you have to do with the jag adapter.
Thanks! uhm i believe I was using a 50 prime Canon FD lens. mostly what I did was just use my tripod with only one leg extended like a monopod because i found it to be somewhat easier to hold the camera still with both hands while focusing and moving around.
oh and make sure to set your aperture to the widest it can go because theres really lots of vignetting if you dont, but my advice would be to just experiment! :P

I bought the FD mount because my friend had a bunch of FD's lying around.
on the jag site under the jag35st it says
