I think in general that Toriyama can't tell a compelling story. This whole Saiyan shit really was messing around with the characters in the story. Characters you did grow to like became so insignificant that they have become verbs and adjectives in order to describe dissapointment and failure. I do commend him for Cell though... absolutely adore this bastard of a villain... his english dub helped a lot in that too.

I miss seeing Yamcha, Tien, Krillin, and even Piccolo to an extent jumping in and fighting on par with their opponent instead of just stalling the enemy for time to wait for Goku to arrive.

I would have died if we had things like this in DBZ, indeed I died when Ten Shin Han saved the day against second form Cell. Characters like Mr Popo or Karin could have been used to help in needed times, that would have been great, or Master Roshi training a new technique... Well, you could say if I want to see that I should watch the original Dargon Ball series... but still a shame...

This is how Dragonball Z should have been. Don't get me wrong I love the series. But it gets old watching all the Saiyans doing all the work, they should have all worked as a team in my opinion rather then just waiting for Goku to show up and save the day.

@WESTproduction2 It didn't help that the saiyans' strengths increased ridiculously. Between his fight with Vegeta and his fight with Freiza, Goku's strength goes from about 8000 to 11,500,000. That's almost 1500x stronger. If they enemies hadn't gotten so tough, they could have used teamwork and strategy to take down their enemies. Also would have made "He's going to destroy the planet!" a bit more important.

The Frieza saga was the last Saga to show PL's i just think Trunks could have held his own in this movie.And why didn't he go SSJ if they were as strong as Frieza why didn't he?Some things in DBZ make no sense even if its the best Action anime of all time........

At his peak he'd be stronger than the Ginyu Force (not counting Capt. Ginyu at max)

@Aloverssoulz Personally, I'd put Yamcha's final power level at somewhere around 80-90,000. Strong enough to pummel most of the Ginyu Force, but a bit weaker than Captain Ginyu.

That said, I don't see his fight with Olibu making zero sense. I find we tend to get lost in how powerful Goku and the others are, and forget that the Ginyu Force were by far considered the strongest in the Galaxy for a LONG time. Most fighters don't even break 1000, let alone 80,000.
