  • Thumbs up if you just typed in "wah" and this is where it brought you..

  • I own this pedal; playing thru a marshall C5 and a DBZ Bolero.. dbz>wah>direct into C5.

    ITS AWESOME!

I am playing in drop D

  • i think he could have played Zakk stuff

  • the sound is like whawu

  • what a funny shoe :)

  • whay is better, zakk waylde wah? or the crybaby from hell dimebag's?

  • @mtalmilitia From one axeman to another: the best thing you can do is go and try them both out. Personally, I own The Crybaby From Hell due to my love of him and the kind of metal I do. Usually places like Guitar Center will allow you to try before you buy (Mine did) and I made my choice of Dimes because of his specs. Not putting down the Zakk Wylde cos I am a big fan of both. Never ask for advice here cos it is mostly biased. Try it for yourself and decide which you think is better. Ciao.

  • i say wah-wah since i dont own this

  • whats he playing at 2:25?

  • what are the chords at 2:25 ?

  • what's the signature dunlop wah that has the biggest note range between bass and treble? please reply

thank you and sorry for my bad english

  • I don't know whether to go for the zakk wylde or kirk hammett cry baby? any ideas?

  • @ETFgotk24 KIRK KIRK KIRK!

  • @ETFgotk24 just try both of them out, and which ever one appeals to you the most buy it. If you really can't decide, and you've got a bit of money on you, buy both of them i guess. hope that helped.

  • man where did you buy those shoes

  • Thumbs up if u wud hav liked to hav seen a randy rhoads wah

  • @bjparhamguitars123 What song did Randy use a wah in? Big fan and i can't seem to recall one. But he is a sick guitarist :P

  • @coolkid1095 There is debate whether he used a Crybaby Original or a VOX V847... Historically he used a Crybaby from the 70's... the new Crybaby Original doesn't sound like the 70's model. That is why people use the VOX V847 because it sounds like the wah Randy had. But its your choice, so listen to both and see which one to you screams RANDY RHOADS.

  • @bjparhamguitars123 to you and the other 24 shmucks, Vox V847A, MXR M-104, MXR M-134, the vox was the randy rhodes wah, noobs

  • @bjparhamguitars123 or a Randy Rhoads MXR Dist+

  • This sounds like a good wah for metal...

  • What effects do you have??

  • wah wah effects makes me say wah-wah.

  • @1:28 I JUST COLLAPSED...PURE WYLDE STYLE WAH!!!!!!!!!!! AWESOME!!!

  • Does anyone else notice that when you press the pedal half-way down it plays Zakk Wylde music through the amp?

  • where i can buy similar shoes?

  • Would anyone mind telling me what chords he was playing at the beginning of the video?

  • IS THIS PEDAL TRUE BYPASS? Thanks and nice video!

  • Whats better this or the Kirk Hammett wah?

  • out of all the wah pedals by dunlop, is this wah pedal better than kirk hamments wah? I play metal so zakk and kirk are two huge influences for me, but im not sure which one to get, help!!!!

  • Guys i wanna buy a zakk wylde wah pedal and i was wondering if i can conect it to a Fender Mustang I amp answer fast pls!!

  • @MiTsOSLiFe Of course you can. Simply put the Guitar into the Wah and then into the Amp. Wahs are not really used in effect loops.

  • Guys i need a fast response pls i wanna buy a zakk wylde wah pedal and i have a fender mustang I amp can i conect it to the amp ?

  • IT IS COMPUSORY TO WEAR SHIT SHOES IN THESE VIDEOS

  • Nice shoe! lol

  • Which is better, I'm both a Page and Wylde tragic and I wanna know what to buy out of the Wylde Wah and the Vox V847.

  • the one thing i dont like about this vid is how andy says dunlop like "dunlup"

  • pongan a un guitarrista de verdad a probar los pedales

    no a pendejos aprendices!!!!!!!!

  • What the the name of last song???

  • Not a very clean wah. Kinda sounds like it overdrives the amp a little.

  • @austinfailz Dude.. Have you heard Zakk Wylde's playing? Of course it ads gain and is really aggressive!

  • @n1ll3r Well, if you have enough gain from your amp, especially if you push it with an OD, it might not be good.

  • 2:06 SOMEONE TELL ME HOW TO DO THAT

  • @fiach100 you pick the strings simultaneously and slide down the fretboard

a classic example is "Soul Man"

  • @fiach100

    E|--4--3--2--0--

    B|--3--2--1--0--

    G|--4--3--2--1--

Play those types of chord formations and pick them accordingly. It can be done anywhere on the neck, the last chord is usually a major chord (and it sounds good to play the full open chord or barre chord).

Hopefully that explained it well enough. :)

  • Im not satisfied with my Dimebag wah and Im considering buying one of these, they sound pretty sick

  • @piemanzeppelin Hi my demo of zaak wylde wha

  • can anybody tell me what wah pedal buckethead uses ????

  • @defconslunk

wiki him its on there, uses digitech whammy and about 12 others

  • when drive is added zakks wah sound like its at the sweet spot all the way of the pedal travel.slashes wah is more verstatile.

  • my shoes is better :p

  • I watched a bunch of wah demos by PGS and this video convinced me enough to go out and buy a ZW-45, that plus being a huge Ozzy and BLS fan.

  • hey, need some help wit my zakk wylde crybaby. damn, its freakin noisy once switched on. heck, the clicking of the switch on the wah is amplified thru the pedal everytime i step to turn it on. anything i can do to solve this?

  • Not trying to sound like a dick here but this isn't how THIS wah pedal is meant to be used. Zakk Wylde puts something in the pedal area so its always toe down, he said it in an interview.

  • whats the best wah for thrash/death pedal , zakk sig, 95q, morley bad horsie, or the home brew medicine bawl wah?

  • i got mine today and its AWSOME:) i would probably buy it even if it was the double price:) btw whats the white thing on the top of your wah?

  • guys, jz got the pedal. one question, when i depress it heel down, the volume of my guitar kinda like dropa lil n the tone got like turned down alot and its harder to pull of squealies. is this normal??

  • should i get this the dime or the kirk wah? i thinking about this one but but i mostly play thrash/death metal and i want the most badass one that dunlop makes

  • @FirePower3006 Then buy Dime's or Kirk's wah. Zakk's sounds more rock and roll

  • @TheBran1262 it's ZAKK WYLDE's sig pedal. I'm pretty sure it's good with distortion

  • wow man i miss the old intro.....

  • Picked this baby up for 77 bucks

  • Great video I just bought one of these sweet sounding wahs and the tone is purely amazing.

  • Fuck Metallica up the ass, sellout greedy fucks they should have stopped after ...and justice. This pedal works perfectly if you know how to use a wah, all your tone doesn't just come from your equipment, it takes skill. This is a perfect pedal for professionals and amateurs can go stick your fenders up your asses and learn to handle your instruments and adjust your effects.

  • @hate420breed fuck u!!

  • @hate420breed

    Hahaha wow.

  • @hate420breed dont diss metallica, u fuking homo... fuck off

  • What's the song played at the begining and at the ending?

  • I would just like to say that your demos are by far the most useful on YouTube and they are surprisingly accurate. Thanks to your vids I was able to compare the wah pedals that I was considering and in the end I went for this one. Thanks for the help.

  • Good day What is the live time of one of these pedals ?? Like the EVH wah is sh@t! Will this be worth the cash because it is cheaper than the EVH ??

  • durable?

  • is there any chance that PGS could do a review of the original crybaby or the crybaby from hell?

  • Nice, but this sounds nothing like Zakk to me!

  • sweet shoes Andy! :)

  • Do the shoes come with the pedal? xD

  • Great wah, I added a blue LED and true bypass to mine, wouldn't want any other wah pedal now!

  • Ive had this Wah Pedal for over 2 years now, and to be honest its the best Wah pedal ive ever used.. £100 when i got it and i dont regret it.. After my gigs ive had people come up to me and ask "wow what Wah Pedal are you using?" "How did you get that sound?" Also i think the best compliment ive had was "you sound like Zakk Wylde" which to me is a huge compliment.. There reliable and road worthy.. To me this is the best Wah pedal out there! I recommend highly to anyone thinking about a Wah

  • lol i have that one, and i wish that i bought a regular dunlop crybaby wah.

  • I love the reviews you guys post -- direct to the point and don't compare equipment you are biased for/against with others! Same guitar, same settings -- simply turn it on and off and this is what you get. Going to pick up myself one of these ZW-45's.

  • @usafman81 Thank you! We're glad you appreciate what we're trying to do with the vids. We do have a bunch of different Dunlop wahs in stock BTW ;)

    -PGS

  • @ProGuitarShopDemos ummm im getting this next week and do you think its good with any distortion

  • can anyone tell me why my wlyde wah isn't WAH enough? the wah isnt as thick as it should be :(

it's plugged directly after the guitar.

  • @wallofjustin What guitar and amp are you using?

  • Whitch should i buy Zakk Wylde wah or Dimebag Darrel Wah ???

  • @chillernz Snarling dog whine o wah

  • @chillernz darrel are by far better made and it dosent sacrifice tone on some of the clean sounds and lower gain tones

  • @chillernz dimebag!!!!!!!!!!! I played a zakk cry baby back in July and dude it sucked a lot, I was playing a gibson les paul standard thru a marshall MA 100 stack :O (I know ,, the MA series suck) ANYWAYS get the dimebag wah trust me :D!

  • suggestions for a bass wah?

will be using it with a Fuzz Factory

  • the tune from 2:25-2:40 is very nicee..is it a part of any song?if not,which chords did u use?pleaseee answer..thanks!:) :)

  • nice shoes dx

  • y is there white tape on it

  • 1:28 ftw

  • @nurazizanwazir: I don't think of wah when I think of EVH...but I know the pricetag steered me away...never actually tried it or heard to many good reviews on it. Which brings me on to the Zakk Wylde wah...I was lucky enough to get it at guitar center on sale for $109.99...and I use it everyday over the dimewah...no knobs no adjustments...just good old wah sound. Very basic solid cast-iron look. It is great for the deep throaty vocal wah sound...you could say it could get close to Jerry Cantrell

  • @nurazizanwazir: Alright heres my piece: I used to own the Slash wah...and the built in distortion circuit was useless...just created a bunch of white noise...$169.00 for a wah that might be decent for classic rock but for metal...just didn't really cut it. I traded my slash wah for a dimebag crybaby from hell...I think these go for $149.99...you have a variable q knob...but the problem is you either lose the wah sweep at the top...or the bottom depending on how you set it....

  • idk should i buy kh or zw wah.

  • @MrHeavysteel If you're unsure about which wah to get, go with the Dunlop Crybaby. It's what almost every guitarist starts out with for a wah.

  • @Bertziethegreat That's a pretty good tactic, because that way novice guitarists will discover that the famed original crybaby is actually a piece of shit wah thats too weak to cut through distortion, or any mix for that matter, as I found out a while ago

  • hey guys im after a wah thats good for higain stuff. i got a hendrix wah nbeen using a 535q. can anybody help me out?? i want something fairly smooth sounding

  • 100 $

  • i´ve got that motherfucker :D

  • Can anyone help me? I can't decide between the Zakk Wylde wah or the classic cry baby wah, I like metal and other stuff RCHP,rage, dream theater metallica etc. so i have pretty broadened style, but I can't decide between the two, Im not too fond of signature models too cause I like to make my own sounds but this wah sounds really really awesome too and love the sound but im stuck, any help?

  • @bumsex4me

The one that's $69.95/99 at Guitar Center classic wah, right? You can NOT go wrong with it, it goes well with punk, grunge, alt. metal, heavy metal, BUT, be warned; It will ALWAYS give the same tone that CANNOT be changed. I have one, love it, but you may want to upgrade at some point in the future. Check out the Dunlop JC95. It sounds like something you may be interested in.

  • @GreenAiden555 the Jerry Cantrell wah? The pedal is amazing, and it's the only GuitarWorld demo that's actually any good.

  • @bumsex4me red chilli hot peppers?

  • Does anybody can tell me whose that song at the begining of every ProGuitarShop Demos?

  • I love using this pedal on black metal solos it really gives you a nice scream.

  • what's the best wah pedal that isn't named after a guitarist? and is there anyway to customize one without helping a builder make it?

  • i would like to have the nice shoes andy :-)) and the wahwah is nice too :)

  • i use this wah with zakk wylde overdrive and it just blows me away lol

  • @nurazizanwazir Well it depends on what style you're playing. I've used all of those wah's. I didnt really like the dimebag one, bit too thick on the toe down posistion. If your solo's are metally and faster get kirks. If they are metally but you need less bite zakk's is the way to go. Slash's is great for classic rock solos. I used to use the evh wah cos the range was just rite for me. Now i use the vox big bad wah which is great to get your own wah sound. Hope i helped

  • i want to buy this wah wah , sounds veery good!!!but i dont know.... it works good with a rolland cube 80x????heelp!!:)

  • @666pande just buy it. wahs don't vary with amps, they are just like a tone control in pedal.

  • @eatmyorangemarmalade thnx dude ;) finally i will buy the VOX VX V847A!!!:P

  • @nurazizanwazir: Well, THe Kirk Hammet Wah has tru bypass so it doesn't suck your tone and it sounds very wahish and thick. But it doesn't have any nobs so you're stuck with the same wah sound.

  • idk, im still a huge fan of the Bad Horsie 2

    love me some steve vai

  • i wish there was a pedal that could sweep like this one only with the distortion from a slash wah.

  • THis thing Rocks!!

  • I traded this wah in for a VOX wah wah..

I love the VOX more, because its more of a classic wah sound.

  • Nice Shoe Andy:D

  • that thing sounds mean!

  • @LAYUCHEBI DONT GET A DIME wah because i have one its more of a rotovibe

  • @NickGuitarMalfara13 ...it's nothing like a rotovibe...what are you talking about?

  • i want to buy a wah wah too

but i still dunno what to buy ..

the DUNLOP ZAKK WYLDE SIGNATURE WAH

or the "normal" DUNLOP CRY BABY GCB95 !?

is it worth to buy the more expensive wah wah ?

& should you only buy the signature wah if you like playing metal?

    ...

  • @beaskate It depends, of what do you want to play. I own wylde signature wah, and i want to change it to GCB-95.Wylde wah is good to metal, but i like to play some funky things on clean channel and GCB-95 for this is better in my opinion. Wylde wah have also a booster(i think so), becouse it makes your clean channel louder and a little bit dirty. I don't like it very much. You should try a Dimebag Darrel signature wah to metal. In my opinion it will be better

  • @beaskate i haave zakk wylde wah , i like metal but , i want to buy dime bag wah its more powerfull from what i hear:)

  • buy dime cry baby from hell wah if you like metal or blues is the best wah i ever had

  • i like to play blues i have this pedal i dislike it alot.

  • @tynnsey why do you dislike it??

  • I own this pedal! It´s kinda sweet but it doesn´t sound very good with totaly clean tone...But it´s freakin´ sweet to play metal with...And no Stillborn? :O

  • i have a behringer hell babe got it for 50 euros. its pretty good regarding the price but i want to get a better wah i am between the slash crybaby and this one. i would certainly get that if it had more stuff to mess around with like the slash one. i havent heard a lot of good stuff about the slash crybaby.i am not sure though

  • Sweet shoes Andy !

  • best wah petal in the game

  • is that wah suitable for metallica songs ??

  • @kancencanga yeah id say so, check out the lick library cover of enter sandman, its like awesome, hes using one there

  • @kancencanga you should probs buy the kirk hammet signature 4 metallica songs

  • @WarioTV why not buy the pedal that kirk actually plays, a 535q wah

  • @kancencanga if u want wah like metallica songs u should just get the kirk hammet wah pedal

  • cant choose between zakk or kirk wah pedal their both badass

  • @FreakForBlackSabbath if you need wah for lead tone you should buy wah with boost

  • I have one G&L Legacy Amazing guitar!

  • hahah! it's always the shoes!

  • Lol your shoes!

  • nice shoes

  • GET BIG BAD WAH FROM VOX ITS THE BEST

  • I have this wah, it's amazing. Except I haven't gotten to use it in a while since one of my cables shorted out :(

  • ok, so my current setup is Amp>Boss MT-2 Metal Zone>Zakk Wylde Overdrive>Boss CS-2 Compressor Sustainer> Ibanez 7 String. If I were to get a Wah, where would I put it?

  • guitar-wah-od/dist (or both in this order)-filters effect(like phaser, chorus, flanger ecc...)- delay/reverb (or both)- amp

This is the "right" way, there isn't a correct one, but this one is the most used, look at the gear of different pro-guitar players if you don't believe me ;)

And if you want i can explain why the setup should be this, but here it takes too long

  • Always put a wah right after the guitar.

  • true true, or else it gets really twangy

  • @jb1563700 Hendrix's setup was Guitar-fuzz-wah-amp

  • @jb1563700 i don't about that man i always put it right after all my other dynamics base pedals to get more vocal like tones

  • @jb1563700 Depends on what sound you're going for, sounds very different if placed after drive/distortion than before for example. There's no *right* place to put it. Experiment!

  • @jb1563700 not always u have to put a tuner before

  • @jb1563700 I find i like the MXR EVH Phase 90 Before the Wah...its it a different sound.

  • @jb1563700 i no, wen i put my zw45 after my mxr fullbore metal it sounds super tinny, even if its less pronounced as an effect in front of the distortion its still awsum :D

  • @jb1563700 Exactly! Never before the guitar ;) (I know what you meant :P )

  • @jb1563700 Put it after the distortion! HEAR IT SCREAM

  • @kw1ksh0t no

  • @FlamingHippoFilms in front of everything is what is traditionally done but feel free to experiment

  • @FlamingHippoFilms right after your guitar, so it would go guitar> wah> dirt> amp

  • @FlamingHippoFilms wah goes right after your guitar

  • Man, this thing is built like a TANK.

  • sweet shoes my ass! converse are the way to go! :D :D :D and this wah pedal is awesome. AMAZINGLY AWESOME!!!

  • @Matt6Ran95 lol its pretty sad if thats all you got out of the video. i got out that the sweep and tonechracteristics, of this pedal has been fine tuned by zakk wylde himself. its designed to give you a more throaty tone, and plenty of high end grit to cut through the mix. dont belive me? look at 0:49 lol just kidding but really, look

  • Sorry if i posted this twice but i just wanna make sure i left a comment! Ok well i got this pedal 4 days ago, and the thing sounds amazing in a clean setting but when i turn on my boss metal zone pedal for distortion, its like the wah its the same range as the clean setting, anybody know how i can get this thing to be amazing with the distortion besides using my distortion channel on my amp.

  • @WyldeProdigy

Are you putting your distortion before your wah in your rig?

  • woa thx alot i've been figuring out for a year with just the classic wah pedal AwesomeBuddy12 you are my hero!

  • go guitar > dist > wah > amp

  • uh no Amp > Tuner > Distortion/overdrive > Reverbs/delays > pahsers,chorus,flanger etc > wah > guitar

  • @ShadowOfDeth1 No. Time based and modulation effects should come last actually. If you have a delay in front of your distortion you're putting distortion on your delay...rather than just using delay on your whole tone.

  • It's a good rule of the thumb to place your wah before your distortion. Otherwise it sounds kind of "quacky" like a duck.

  • @ WyldeProdigy

You have to put the wah in front of the distortion pedal in the effect chain.
