@superbro1938 It would but it would have to be very carefully cast and Hollywood NOT allowed to fuck it up like most remakes of old 80s stuff. Personally I'm glad this hasn't been remade in any format,. Theres nothing to tamper with those cherished memories. I'm still reeling from what they did to the Turtles.
i love the music in this its pure 80s electro goodness...i remember watchin this show when i was like 5 or 6 on nickolodeon in germany after primary school on the forces base it was awesome nowadays cartoons just suck!
Just look at how much effort they put into the animation of the 80s..Besides Hana Barbera, all of our cartoons proly took allot of work....Wait a minute...Did they just leave and get makeovers in the middle of school?
let's face it we were born at the peak of American cartoons ( even if the actual animation was done in japan for most of the shows ) the shows had great story, interesting characters and memorable theme songs. today he shows either make no sense, overly educational or have no real growing story, just a series of one shots with the occasional 2 parter
Awesome show! I really forgot about the name of the show but I rediscovered it on Youtube. I was around like 4 years old when this was on tv so I forgot about most if it but for some reason this episode really stuck out in my brain. I think it was because the characters and the animation was so awesome. I definitely remember Beef and the party scene. This show is so cool, I can't think of any cartoon nowadays that even comes close to how original Galaxy High is.
Luigi: Hey what's a matter for you, Earth boy. You worka so slow. You gotta be fasta, fasta. You should worka like him(pointing to Milo). He worka hard, he worka fast.
When Amy told him to pick up the Zuggle (puck), isn't that a violation of some kind of Zabo (the game they're playing) rule. I don't know the rules, but you would think that it would be against regulations.
It's too bad I didn't appreciate this cartoon as much as I should have back then. Given the sorry state of cartoons today, it would so cool if the 80's cartoons like Galaxy High made a comeback.
Some impressive animation, especially for a series from the mid-eighties. The fact they animated a character with six arms doing six different things without making it look like crap is amazing.
Because it was a co-produced show between CBS and Japanese animation studio Tokyo Movie Shinsha (TMS), who also did animations for other US productions like Cybersix, Superman TAS, the Batman Beyond movie, Gummi Bears and the 90's Spiderman TAS. The best shows in the 80's were always the ones that were co-production titles between different companies.
It's funny, the zuggelball game they played made me think of Qudditch & the show was written by Chris Columbus, I know he didn't write the books but it still funny.
HA! HA! HAAA! THis can't be an 80's toon. It's like a brand new cartoon! There aren't any toons of TODAY that match this high quality in animation. The idea is really original, great writing and characters. So how'd U get dis toon?
That explains a lot. But that is also very sad: typically one is suppose to PROGRESS in time, not diminish in quality. I guess the 80's were a very very rich time.
That's what I was thinking when i saw the first episode. Anyone who didn't grow up in the 80s, would have thought this was a new show. I missed this series so much.<3
So... Zuggleball? It's basically hockey with only one player on each team?

It´s a fantastic animation series! Funny characters with an awesome animation. I like it. =)
Curiously, although it was an american show, it was animated by japanese artists.

ah! Now i know why i got all these nightmares when i was a kid, it was this show! Not that it's bad, on the contrary, it's just awesome!
SunnyGOES 3 years ago
It was Beef who gave you the nightmares wasn't it? Bullies can do that to ya sometimes, especially alien bullies.

No it just was the setting of the environment, and the weird ideas like buildings that can walk and speak.

Some of the best '80s cartoons were Japanese-animated, and the quality was even better than some of the anime you see today.
DIC and TMS were two really good animation companies from the '80s.
