I'm sorry, but what you got from ebay is propably 100% Kaolin Clay, not 100% Silica powder. Kaolin contains crystalline silica, but it is definitely not the same thing ;)

Kaolin Clay strongly adsorbs the moisture and fat. Silica - just a little. And the particles of Kaolin (for cosmetic purpose) are usually a lot bigger than silica ones, so it's exactly what you can feel on your skin.

PS: Do I have to mention that Kaolin Clay usually comes from China? ;)

It's funny I ran into this video and thank you for making it! I'm actually looking into buying this item and noticed it on ebay too so i was wondering if its really the same item and you specified on both items. I'm getting this for my girlfriend and anotherone believe it or not for me, and yes I'm a guy and its considered make up and all but hey oh well I heard that it would actually make me look like im not shiny throughout the day so lol

MUFE's HD Microfinish is awesome but too expensive. I tried Sheer Miracle Extreme CloseUp HD Mineral Finishing Powder and loved it. Identical in every way (size, texture, performance) and half the price. I know you can get it on their site and I think at Amazon. Thought your viewers might like to know.

Coastal Scents has it on their site incredibly cheap too but you got a ton of it. People who tried it thought it was comparable to the HD. I have not tried it though.

Ebay can be a scary place. You never know what your going to end up with. :( That amount for 10 was no deal no matter how good it is. So sorry you got screwed.

yea when u look for silica u should get the ones that say microspheres the particles are smaller and it REALLY does feel just like makeup forever.

I would say the ebay one is DEFIANTLY talc. I have the MUFE powder, and it's wonderful.
