  • My Fave :-)......

  • Yes it is indeed sad,but life is about choices and we have to live and die with the choices we make,no matter how stupid they may be!!

  • @0819LOBO sometimes the choices are not ours to make, like when someone has died like some posts here tell a tale, and like me when I was too young and decisions are taken out of our hands .... we have to live with the pain, which fades a little but in my case and in some of my fellow posters lingers in the heart for a lifetime, you all know which catergory you come into and of course htere are those who did'n't have the matuirty to deal with it at the time either way it hurts <3

  • This was & is my favorite song,I play it over & over ( I wore out several copies before I got it on an I-Pod)!! I"m glad no one has ever asked me who I"m thinking of!!!!! I still love you and will till I die!!! Thank you Dorothy for putting it into words for me!!

  • Ah.. what might have been..30 yrs. ago I was in love. We were young and both stubborn and proud and ended up going our separate ways. He married someone else, but I never did. He was "the one" for me and I let him get away. This song sums it up perfectly. I remember the things we used to do.. my whole world seems misty blue. :(

  • This takes me back............Great music....!

  • OMG! I actually fell in real true love, for the first time in my life to the haunting strains of this very song. It was puppy love, but real and deep and true nevertheless. At a little lake in Canada called Little Lake, so many years ago. A doomed love with a lil girl named Nancy. And when I had to come back to NY, I'd go up on the roof at night and gaze at the stars and think of her. Silly, sappy stuff really. But this is what the heart remembers.

  • @Jamerican58 Ya your right.. :) The heart never forgets.....<3

  • You only really love once in your lifetime. I had that love. We were together ever since junior high school and it seemed destined to be married to each other. Things went different. I married and got divorced after 17 years, she got married and got divorced after 17 years we did,t know it from each other. I am happily married now, she's not. I never stopped thinking of her no matter what. It keeps haunting me up till now. Asha wherever you are on this earth I still love you. D.

  • @denkey3458

    sweet :)

  • Charlotte , You will probable never see this message , but it will be said . I am so sorry that I walked away those many years ago . This song brings back so many sweet memories for me , I often wonder how you are . Oh how things may have been so different for me if I had not broken your heart and we had gotten married liked we planed . My sins have came to collect a debt my soul cannot pay . Please forgive me , sometimes this burden is more than I can bare . This song helps ease the pain . ;(

  • @MrBrknhrt I "identify" with your comment. I will always wonder had I married him. Sad, isn't it. Choices we made in our younger years, effect our entire life.

  • @MrBrknhrt my god you brought tears to my eyes.

  • Comment removed

  • @MrBrknhrt Im so sorry, your comment brought tears to my eyes. Don't give up on love, you never know what the future holds.

  • @MrBrknhrt

Hello I just looked up this song because I saw it in a movie! Your comment was the first I read and I'm in tears, I hope in the last two months since you wrote this to Charlotte you built up enough strength to tell her this yourself !! Enjoy Life!!

  • @MrBrknhrt ...Man ...i can hear the pain and love in your message that reflects the song so true..you need to tell her just how you feel and sing this to her !!!

  • @MrBrknhrt

When I heard this song I had the same feelings. I hope that you have found your love and told her just how important she is and how much she means to you. Real love isnt the easiest thing to come by, but she will forgive you if you are honest with her.

  • @MrBrknhrt Jeez that brings a lump to your throat and a tear to your eye!! How are you doing? There are loads of people on here that would like to know how you are so please give us all an update. Good luck for the future.

  • Classics never die...

  • Spencer, I don't know if I will ever see you again but I am thankful for our time together. The memories are all I have left. Your name is mentioned in commercials, on billboards, and everywhere else I turn to look, I am constantly reminded of you. "Im okay" Chrisette Michele.
