  • im a freshman in high school. i do 255 on bench press, 365 squat, and 425 deadlift. im not bragging but i need some experts on here to tell me if thats good.

  • im referring to PWR, real athletes are work on their PWR, e.g. when two weight lifters generate the same amount of strength ( bench pressing 225 lbs) , the lower body weight will have a higher power-to-weight ratio.. and thats when it actually looks impressive.

  • i knew a guy in highschool who was 180 pounds who did 225 no problem. He was 17 or 18 at the time. We never pushed to see how many reps of it he could do cause he was always going for his max which was close to 300

When I was a fatass at 165 in high school, i couldnt get up 125. and if the guy cut his weight he would still be able to do that. So weight doesnt really matter seeing as fat doesnt realy add to your strength.

  • one more thing, sophmore year of college ( 19 i think or 20 yrs old) i was doing 225 for low 20's (maybe 22) with FULL range of motion and no bounce at a weight of 175 and not participating in team sports anymore ( i was a monster of a wrestler in highschool though, so i don't know if that helped)......... i never thought that benching 225 was "a thing", certainly wouldn't bother making vidoes about it (even if i did make it or try to make it to 40 plus reps)
