  • I was expecting a song....but...thisll do

  • really nice video :D

  • can you tell me how you know if the processor you buy fits in your computer? plss anyonee

  • @chenster420 u can see on your motherboard box is it suport processor u wish to buy or if u loost your motherbord box enter name of your motherboard on gooogle and serch for info :)

  • I have an Intel Quad Core i7 920 but I choosed it only becuse I have only been using Intel CPU. Next time I might buy an AMD processor.

  • intel is overpriced and always will be. I wont say they are worse than AMD, but they are way to expensive. i920 for 280, amd 695 for almost 20-40 bucks lower, and gives the same performance. its all about price, what YOU can get with YOUR budget. Most of the time, AMD is cheaper, and gives you more bang for your buck.

  • You cant really say which lasts longer than others. There are many things that affect what makes what last longer. Most AMD processors require no user input to get it started, which means most "noob" users wont have to worry about "blowing" up their processor with different settings.

I wont say that Intel is worse than AMD, I'm saying you get more BANG for you BUCK.

I know hardcore INTEL fans that say they never had a Intel go up, and same for Intel. Shit happens sometimes.

  • so gimme a processor from AMD just as good as the intel extreme or the intel i7 processor

  • i7 920 vs amd 965. All tests have shown that it goes back n fourth with wins/losses vs each other, and yet the 965 amd is about 20-40 dollars less than the i7 920.

  • core i5.. see about that just released in sept 8

  • 200 dollars for the core i5. 2.66ghz, 8mb L3 cache, 45nm and 95watts.

    200 dollars for the AMD phenom II 955, 3.2ghz, 6mb L3 cache, 45nm and 125watts.

Right now, yes, intel has the lead, but also remember, that the i5 is a reworking of the i7, making it a second gen i7. The AM3 has yet to get a second gen in the series. FOR NOW, the i5, at 200 dollars, is the best bang for your buck. But what will AMD bring to the table for its second gen of the AM3?

  • All results that ive seen with comparisons show that 920 beats 965 in every test besides a few games. AMD seems to come on top ins a few games because it is more compatible with the testing rig. (ati and amd are together)

  • I will probably be flamed by amd fanboys, but i 920 has better performance over the 695, thats why it costs more as well. It has 8 thread hyper-threading if you are able to utilize the eight threads (rendering) then it is waaayyyyyyyy faster and woth the money.

  • @bastec666 Nothing from AMD can really match an Core i7. The X6 only matches the Core i5 7xx. Take a look at the benchmarks. AMD does give more bang for the buck, but Intel is already ahead of the game with 32 nm and developing 22 nm. AMD can't OC as well as Sandy Bridge (got to 5.2 ghz stable with a Corsair H70), no AM3 boards have UEFI featured either. Intel is overpriced, but their stuff performances much much better. An 980x pwns any Opteron from AMD

  • @bvestationfan I never said the i7 could be matched nor nething about 980 vs opteron, which means your pickin a fight.

As far as OCing goes, AMD overclocks just fine, I dont understand why intel fan girls (yes girls, for starting, or trying to start, drama) choose to compare product vs product when one costs over 800 dollars less. If you compare products in the same price range, amd beats all intel that match the same price.

Sure intel holds the flagship, who cares. Price is whats important.

  • AMD sus procesadores son de alto prestigio.... eL Phenom de 4 nucleos es perfecto ^^

  • were can i buy these processers at

  • 0MG H4X

  • no mention of static electricity

  • you really don't have to worry about it anymore. As long as you don't touch or bend any of the contacts, you should be fine.

  • AMD FTW! AMD smarter choice! In time of crisis, AMD, beyond expectations with low price, Phenom II is the processor!

  • Respect for others...

  • ould this be a good place to state that AMD should really consider better thermal paste and/or heatsinks? Although, the Phenom II X4 940 comes with a decent one, it could still use improvement.

  • So much easier than pain in the ass Intel sockets (all the older one's I've been forced to work with). Stupid pins never feel like they pushed in right. Anyway, yeah seriously, bring the fire, y'all, this is the kids stuff.

  • Some people don't know, everyone was at that point sometime. Try not to be an ass guys, this is good information for AM2/AM3 sockets.

  • I agree. Maybe there will also be an Elite Box series with more advanced topics. ov3rkl0rxng, various mysterious BIOS settings, and such...

  • Very true.

  • wtf????? amd you are falling with this fucking viddd

  • XFX motherboard

  • No it's not

  • It's actually an AMD reference DDR3/AM3/790FX board.

I will admit it does look similar to the XFX 750a SLi.
