  • This is the f.k defense, they didnt teatched you the attack? seems not.

  • i would like to have you as my coach!!

  • I have watched a couple of these "academy" videos and have noticed very sloppy technique...every student is completely flat footed and stationary and you don't cross your hand during your kicks. Bad form

  • @xinktxAHAHAHAH THEY TEATCH THE ART BUT THEY DONT TEATCH YOU HOW TO KILL, AND TO BE A WINNER.

  • I have a long weapon right here in my hand ;)

  • @Liamdonoghueownsyou I HAVE HERE AN WEAPON , MY HANDS

AND THEY CAN KILL YOU, THEY CAUSE MORE DAMAGE THEN A KNIFE, BECAUSE YOU SURVIVE TO A KNIFE BUT YOU WILL NOT SURVIVE TO THIS, AND OF COURSE I WILL NOT PUT THIS ON YOUTB, BECAUSE I DONT TO TEATCH HOW TO KILL PEOPLE EASLY.,

  • isn't it more like kick boxing front ?

  • this is great. although "don't chase your opponent around with the foot jab" should be followed by "unless you are buakaw"

  • Intro song name?

  • i love this heavy sound rofl

  • @jdedeaux2 A heavy bag is not a banana bag. I trained under Sakasem and Matee Jeedipitak who is now an instructor in Michigan. Both were Lumpinee fighters. Matee was a Lumpinee champ is probably the best trainer in the states currently. I fought at 135. I started off fighting under pro rules at 18. Fought 3 times and then started boxing.

  • @jdedeaux2 If you can't discern my size in comparison to a standard sized banana bag then how am I the retard? I could care less about who trained you or your silly trophies and small gym hidden behind a couple of palm trees in Florida. You call out Saekson, like that supposed to make you some kind of legit muay thai expert. And yes I have fought. Don't bother me anymore.

  • @jdedeaux2 Haha, Saekson trained you? You want to fight people who don't agree with you. A complete savage. Go ahead and send me your FB gym page if you think you have the so much to teach. I'm betting you are a fraud who throws out big names like Saekson to get more students.

  • @jdedeaux2 Please, you assume much. Anybody who begins spouting out about trophies they've won shouldn't be taken serious. And no I'm not a cruiserweight. If you can't figure that about by my vid then let me leave you alone to your own thought processes because that is absolutely ridiculous. You are online warrior until proven otherwise. You have no idea what you are talking about. Go back to Tai Bo.

  • @jdedeaux2 You stand on your toes you have a weak base and will bounce away from your opponent not push them away. Everyone knows that.

  • I know this is proabably a stupid question, but is this different from a push kick, or is there just different names for it?

  • @Oman397 It's the same.

  • seems like a good strike if your like me and have a size 17W foot

  • good

  • i love the buakaw/masato fight in 2004 where buakaw is kicking masato around the ring with this kick :P

  • great video.

  • the foot jab is useless just like the rest of muay thai

  • @SillieWous No matter what mixed martial arts, or major striking martial arts you practice.

the footjab is ALWAY ALWAYS ALWAYS an incredibly, if not THE most important move.

  • @SillieWous Troll.

  • this whole school's "muay thai" is mediorce

  • lol... i tried to attack someone with teeps once... miserable experience...

  • Guys you do realize that the kick anderson silva did vs victor belfort was a front kick and not a push kick? Two different mechanichs behind the both kicks.

  • what has no one ever seen a front kick ever used before anderson silva? people do this shit in muay thai and in kick boxing all the time. you might not see it as much except for the bigger shows cause its considered disrespectful when you teep kick a dude in the face.

  • hmm in my club we go up on the balls of our feet when we teep...seems there are advantages to each style i do like the extra power and height i get from standing on the balls of my feet. What does Silva do? Anyone know if he was flat footed when he KO'd Vitor?

  • tell anderson silva it does not work for offense

  • @wade2thehamilton i was thinking the same thing lol

  • Nice but "Kempo Arnis" is much better!

  • "The footjab is almost exclusively used for defense" ... Unless you're Anderson Silva KO Vitor Belfort.

  • its just unbelievable how anderson silva did it to his face!

  • The people in this video are novice at best. You never want to be flat footed, strike with the ball of your foot, and you want to lean forward. If you fall backward when kicking someone you're retarded and this person does it a couple times in the video.

  • @calaflash cant say id use your theory either. Truth is, different people and situations call for different variations of technique

  • @calaflash you novice too? How many fights you had?

  • odd technique.. I learned to throw my arm for more strenth and balance

  • Thumbs up if Steven Seagal got you here.

  • @juanharryhenry seagal sucks

  • i came here because i want to learn the Crane kick from karate kid! jk

  • Thumbs up if you're here because you witnessed Anderson Silvas Front Kick!!!!

  • @jzx98x No offense, but Silva did a front snap kick coming which is coming upward. This is a push kick, pushing your opponent away.

  • @jzx98x come to my page, see some good kicks...and leave some comments...

  • @jzx98x I DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @jzx98x haha exactly, and also machida's kick vs randy

  • @jzx98x But that anderson silva front kick isnt a thrust or push kick. Either way pretty good video and its great that more and more people everyday are getting into muay thai and other martial arts.

  • It only works for offense if you are Anderson Silva.

  • @aironbaron not true, please come see my page!!!! and leave some comments!!!

  • nice

  • The rear reel heel is supposed to come off the ground for stability. If you leave it on the mat, you have nothing to stop you from falling backwards when the equal and opposite reaction occurs.

  • For real-world implementation, see Anderson Silva versus Vitor at UFC 126.

  • @georgeou Nothing new, please see my page for true legendary one!!

  • martial arts use to be def not for making trouble xD

  • @MoonCross10 martial arts still is, mma is not.

  • @JohnAntonyfortune don't talk so tuff on YouTube comments page it shows what a little bitch you realy are. I'm just trying to look out for you. I love all my lil bitch ass homies I don't want to see ones of these real motherfuckers beat you like a step child. I'm just saying.

  • หน้าแปลกๆ 55+

  • 0:28 "Do not waste effort chasing your opponent trying to foot jab, it does not work." lol try telling Buakaw that.

  • @VeggieOrtiz lol or skarbowsky

  • You're not suppose to extend your arm, you're suppose to bring it down to pop your hips out and creat more push

  • if you want to defend yourself you must use your front foot to be faster

now if you want to kick stronger u can use your back leg but it will be slower

  • mui thai boxing sucks

  • @JohnAntonyFortune Are you pissed? Muay Thai is classed as one of the most brutal sports on the planet. Say that after you've felt a spinning elbow to the face, or a side kick to the throat.

  • @joshlerd idiot learn tto READ...or maybe you consider spinning elbow boxing?

  • @JohnAntonyFortune Your a fagget. Spar me then tell me it sucks when you cant walk for two weeks

  • @SamSalutan I'll spar you with joy motherfucker. you wont just have trouble walking, but you probably gonna be fucking spoon fed for the rest of your life as I knock the fuck out of you. Come on dick Oxnard, California, where are you from?

  • @JohnAntonyFortune haha okay tough guy. You have no idea who I am. Im from Menifee California

  • @SamSalutan you dont get it do you? I DONT GIVE A FUCK WHO YOU ARE?! I ll come and rape you in your village.

  • @JohnAntonyFortune why does it suck?

  • There are some things in this vid that are not technically correct.

On the side that you are teeping with, your arm should come down as you accelerate your foot forward....this helps with the pop and also with balance.....Also, your arms shouldn't move until you start to accelerate your foot forward....what I mean by this is that you stay in your guard with your arms high as you raise your knee up, then pump your arm down as the foot goes forward....

  • I am not agree.Maiegeri usually have better effect when u `re pushin your opponent into the chests, not into the stomach. And the movement is not just like this-your body must not be sloping back,it must be on vertical position or sloping a lil bit to front because the movement`s purpose is to push back your enemy to few metres and this on this way made your pushin is more powerfull

  • สอนดีมาก

  • LOOKS GOOD .

ONE OF THE BETTER PUSH KICKS DEMONSTRATED ..

THERE ARE MANY WAYS TO APPLY THIS KICK AND THIS IS JUST ONE .

    LEARN ,PRACTICE , DO

  • Hi

Can you use a foot job to hit your opponents face? Is that legal?

  • Get a great Boxing or Muay Thai workout with a virtual trainer right in your pocket with iShadowBoxer for the iPhone and iPod Touch. Available on the App Store.

  • Teep is the most useful in fighting , especially in defending for women to protect herself from attack

  • @Saiga76239mm Calm down Saiga. You are right. I live in Thailand and train at the Muaythai Institute in Rangsit. Actully, these videos are pretty accurate.

  • So usefull in a fight, just watch for it getting grabbed...

Me training at home since I couldn't afford to go training that night :p

    /watch?v=lX39d_NUiAo

  • foot jabs

  • that music makes me crazy ... how its called ???

  • buakaw is awsome at foot jbs ;)

  • dont lean back on the kick, try to connect and push through your opponent. These are just defensive teeps, when used as an attack it can be devastating...

  • @prasiet No, actually you NEED to lean back. When you lean back you can use yor hips which is where most of your power comes from after you learn it.

  • a good drill is to foot jab foot jab foot jab

  • Yea push kick, jab kick, front kick, door kick. Its like a jab in muay thai.

  • isnt that basically a push kick?

  • He says bullshit. There is the defensive front kick which is a teep and is the best defense to keep a distance from the opponent who is about to kick or punch. There is also the attacking front kick which is also very good surprising movement. One good front kick to the face and your opponent will be watching butterflies of different colours.. If the opponent is Thai then he will go mad because head is the holiest part of the body.. Just ignore this video..

  • I am a boxer trying to learn some kicks and Muay Thai techniques on my own until I have the money and the time to start attending a Muay Thai gym...can any Muay Thai guys confirm for me that this is a reliable video? Any help is greatly appreciated.

    Thanks

    Davis

  • @dmooreQX4 I reccomend not using these videos they are absolutly terrible :P this isnt terrible but the rest are

  • @dmooreQX4 i'm just getting into thai boxing but this vid seems good to me. most of the same stuff my trainer told me.

  • @dmooreQX4 for defense yeah

  • i chased this guy for 3 miles trying to get in a foot jab. then i shouted at him to stand still while i did the karate kid jump kick to his head

  • muy buen video

  • Great explanation. I break it down, just the same with my students.

    Nuff props.

  • excellent video

  • i like the music^^

whats the name of the song ?

  • @BBoyThysson The author of this video said it's "an original production from misteroriginal net" but it's too vague to find the artist at least.

  • @Tome4kkkk

ahh thx .. i'm from germany .. i dont understand english very good^^

  • everyone says tkd is better and muay thai is for pussies, MUAY THAI GUYS KICK HARDEST. you know how they condition their legs? they kick the fuck out of trees with their shins. for fun.

  • @STEF54 where i train they roll and hit ur shins with bamboo sticks and then they roll it again to get the blood bubbles out

  • you train in thai boxing?

  • Im a sir lol

  • @STEF54 oh haha cuz ur name was stef and im like erm?..ha i was confused

  • rofl its short for Stefan

  • @STEF54 ohhh

  • @STEF54 i'd lick u up

  • @CannedKoolaid woah thats some gay shit there

  • @STEF54 cmon baby girl

  • someone has been watching a few too many van dam movies

  • This is why westerners get caught lots when they 'teep push kick'. You didnt show the shudder from the supporting foot. Power is generated by hopping in on the support leg (or sharply on the spot). If you are caught you shudder and dig your toes in. Also never extend your arms like was shown. You WILL get belted. Thats the difference between gym and the ring. You need to mention that you make contact with the flat of the foot (or even heel) applying more power, and preventing dislocated toes

  • wow nice channel, i practice muay thai, but i just have 3 months of been training, bue i really like it. cheers from argentina

Muay Thai Dojo Sempat Buenos Aires Argentina

  • what a shit. This is international shit of Muay Thai. Wrong Kicks.

  • @Logra01 what are right kicks ?

  • logra is right...this isnt wrong but it isnt the "thai style"...go and check some videos of the real thai...you vill get the point of logras comment;)

  • my muay thai instructor calls this a 'push kick'

  • Nice vid, I've trained karate for 12

Years , and Muay Thai for three,I love karate, it's what got me into martial arts, but to be realistic, muay Thai is just simple and goes straight to the point,I agree about tkd, very similar to karate but not as good, jkd I don't really know much about it.

IMO I think muay Thai , Kempo and juijitsu are some of the best martial arts.

  • continued...........

Doing it his way makes little sense, you generate power from your hips. Given that, the throwing side leg is already past the hip, the hips therefore can't generate hardly any force for that move to be effective.

It's like comparing a left jab to a right cross, hardly anyone who is a good fighter would get knocked out by a jab (unless you are Lennox Lewis)

  • I disagree with the arm placement while he is throwing the teep.

The opposite arm of the leg you are throwing the kick with shoots behind you and past your hip. It generates a-lot of power and reinforces a basic fundamental that the art was founded on. That fundamental of opposing forces, action/reaction. The fast and stronger your action, the faster and stronger your reaction has to be to equal it. Doing it his way makes little sense, the throwing legs hip is forward, the arm has no power.

  • @Jendryx/jeetkundo

I myself come from trdaitional kung fu and karate. The technics you talk about are not for MMA( what you call UFC which is a organistaion). and you can´t say you have more power if the balls of feet ar on ground- EX. jumping front kick(teep maegeri call it what you want) which has more power flat foot or whole body mass moving into target ? remeber physics rather then "we do it more correct cos we are thaught so by Sensei, sifu etc" ;) I have moved to MMA

  • and i see why some techniques needs modifying to work better with what im doing atm.

  • oh no, im not disagreeing with the kicking technique at all. i just made a comment about my observations of UFC fighters. Of course im not saying all of them, but i am saying that from what i have seen in UFC , some guys dont have that good of technique as compared to the guys in K-1. then again that is because there is grappling in MMA fights, and not in K-1. I have no doubt in the kick, it was just an observational side note. BTW in all honesty i dont watch UFC much, but other MMA comps i do.

  • goata stay on the balls of ya feet for increased power and agillity

  • wrong!

  • wtf is a footjab?

  • muy bueno yeah

  • god jus watchin all that made me remember all the training and drills i had to suffer but now i got more tougher drills man all for the love of muay thai

  • pushing kick is very imporant and has results if you are based well on your foot

  • THIS, IS, SPARTA!

  • this kick is for protection, you wont get points from this kick

  • i like this kick very much

very good for a rushing in opponent. but not only in the ring. also on the street.

this kick isnt only in muay thai though. i trained karate and i have reflexes on it too. i guessthey also train it in kickboxing, tkd and some others

very nice kick. easy to do, and very effective

  • front kick? isnt that called push kick, cause your pushing your opponent away from him and preventing him form attacking

  • different arts have different names for the same movements

  • yeah most martial arts share the same basic movements

  • yea its called teep

  • lol he is doing it wrong! the academy=fail

  • @catalinaguerrero and your a black belt in muay thai im supposing.lmao your sad kid

  • dont waste it for chasing ur oponnent trying to footjab what do u know lol 1 good kick (foot jab) in the face and its over

  • Agreed!

  • i think a foot jab is good for keeping distance, but for knocking somebody out? maybe if u used theother leg. u could use MUCH more power on it, u could even go through, not stop and pull it back, but destroy everything in its path like a thai round house kick.

i doubt that a footjab could actualy knock somebody out. not to mentionhow easy it is to catch a footjab if u do it higher than the stomach area.

  • also known as a teep

  • A good kick to use when the opponent gets to close.

But the kick used in the video looks funny. I think its because the bag is to far for them to kick it.

I keep a short distance between me and the bag when i front kick. About 1 meter?

Not sure, i'll check it out after new years.

  • this kick is good also to open defences

  • probably the best human weapon, probably the best technique, it does work for everything, defense, attack...

  • "do not waste effort chasing your opponent trying to foot jab. it does not work"

    tell that to buakaw

  • @axemurderer27 lol honestlyyyy...

  • @axemurderer27 haha bloody oath mate i fucking love the teep kick man. it works very well :)

  • @axemurderer27

i agree, buakaws main kick was the foot jab hes even knocked people out with it.

  • can u please stop raping my beloved art of muay thai? This guy have learned the wrong technique somewhere and now hes making instructional videos?? this is the worst ive ever seen plz take it down

  • @kaosohk THANK YOU THIS GUY IS AN IDIOT I'D LOVE TO MEET HIS INSTRUCTOR that guy fails

  • "...Extend your arm..."

    wat

  • LOL

  • for the atacker dont atack ur face

  • lol

  • Cool production values on this vid. Digging the audo and visual effects.

  • Too bad those don't make up for poor technique.

  • those are nut shuts.

  • I'm THAI

    It's Push Kick/THEEP

  • push kick +1

    same on my academy

  • a foot jab its called a push kick u dumb fuck

  • Ill let someone else tell you what a 'dumb fuck' you are...

  • this is true

  • So you don't raise onto the balls of your feet? That makes you flat footed after the kick :|

  • well sir yes in all traditional martial arts your supporting foot stays flat on the ground and all it does is pivot, I've seen people in the UFC(vegas crap) kick while the supporting foot is up on tippy toes. well just think about this question. How grounded are you when you kick if your supporting foot is weak? well if you kick like this you won't have much power and most certainly will be thrown back instead of your opponent. But i mean no disrespect.

  • oh man i agree with you, and i wish that everyone in society would know this. This is why there are more grapplers in UFC instead of strikers because from what i see they have horrible technique. But thank you for knowing something about martial arts and not being like the rest of society and saying UFC is the best regardless.

  • you're an idiot

  • haha and you're probably a guy who ass jockey's MMA fighters... yeah any good fighter can tell bad technique and good. Also seeing as how ive trained in karate, tae kwon do, and muay thai, and now train in a American Top Team gym, i think id know......

  • um that's funny because you referred to all of MMA as UFC so i highly doubt it...and karate, tae kwon do, and jeet kune do...all basically jokes when it comes to mma...tkd is probably the gayest sport i have ever witnessed

  • haha ok yeah i basically call Troll on this one...Serkan Yilmaz is famous for using his TKD in K-1 look up his vids. there are a lot more besides him as well, like Andy Hug and even Machida! who both do Karate. you're a joke man, you think mma would have life if it werent for any arts before it? also i doubt you know anything about JKD. But yeah imma stop replying to a troll now... its obvious youre garbage and dont know what youre talking about...BTW people think JKD is MMA's Grandfateher...
