  • and what the fuck does this have to do with dr martin luther king?!?!

  • @powderedmilkgirl It didnt mean a damn thing in his memorial. It was antiwar protesters who misinterprate everything.

  • he shouldve dragged the lady with the cone on her head by her hair

  • HAHAHAHAAHAHAH these people are fucking stupid. and you live in washington the sun is never gonna shine!

  • That is the power of people to change their surroundings for their benefit. The authorities blowing bubbles was very telling. I feel for the PDF (Pour Dumb F*^%ers) inside the MLA (Missle Lay-Down area) when a 4megaton device goes off to restrict access to U.S. stockpile. Maybe the Marines at India Gate have a badge for that one?

  • "Something to ponder: how can violence bring about true peace?"

Easy answer. Out-brutalize your enemies and secure victory over them. No enemies, no problems.

All the singing and marching in the world will not change anything. You morons. You are such an embarassment.

  • Nothing changes..protesting and getting arrested and then having free trade coffee later in the day is hyperbolic and dumb.

If you want to get rid of the nukes you need to GET THEM and that means assault rifles and the good chance many of you won't make it.

    And that's hard.

    Sorry, truth hurts.

  • I love you guys, glad to see the resistance lives....things haven't changed much...a few decades later, a few more grey hairs, same nukes though.

  • then the correct term would have been Russians.

  • there have been no "soviets" since the early 90s. where have you been or do you not have the ability to read?

question: what is a "legal protest?"

Something to ponder: how can violence bring about true peace? Violence only begets more violence.

  • n 2002, i exited submarine service after 4 years n the navy under command uss michagan gold crew. i don't approve of nuclear weapons. but m also glad 2 the navy 4 giving me opportunity of realizing y we need nuclear weapons, 2 protect our country n case another attacks us. i welcome peace, but our nation must defend itself. submarine base bangor at washington state is needed & i pray that it will continue 2 safeguard the missiles & submarines responsibly, not aggressively.

  • Impressive Action. Thanks for posting this. Congratulations.

  • always stand up for what you believe in!!!!

  • This is a great example of a passive aggressive attack. while, in totality, the display is nonviolent, it is geared around blocking vital supply lines and roadways, which IS violent and illegal.

It is utterly obvious that this was no more than a hoax that is aimed at getting controversial media to use against the military. there was no point to that display otherwise, it was on a road that goes in and out of the base and nowhere else. if it had been in a park, i would be less skeptical.

  • here's a great idea, we destroy all of our nukes, leaving no deterrent for china, russia, or any other assholes to nuke the hell out of us, maybe then there would be no more protesters. damn washintonian hippies.

  • Being that there is no longer a soviet union, who would these said soviets be. A soviet is a member of a council or part of government in the former soviet union or referring to something pertaining to the former soviet union. last time a checked, the soviet union doesn't exist anymore. Latvia; Estonia, Russia, The Ukraine, Uzbekistan, etc is independent. A communist isn't synonymous to a soviet. You arethe retarded one my friend

  • hmmm the soviets don't exist anymore. there is no more soviet union. hahahaha

  • If we get rid of our nukes, the world would suddenly become a more chaotic place. Peace through deterrance, people.

  • If you are afraid to get arrested then this battle is over for you, curl up and wait for the end and dont forget to go get your dollar cheese burger while you can.

  • LAME!! If I saw these people I would laugh hysterically. Get off the wacky weed and do something constructive with your time. Habitat for Humanity, food kitchens, Red Cross, etc.

  • Habitat for Humanity? have you seen what happened to Millard Fuller and his wife? the ones who started Habitat for Humanity? they board took complete control over the non-profit and booted him from his own company... Later he started another one, and was sued for using the word "Habitat" in the second establishment.. non-profit's are good, but at the end of the day, these are nothing more than businesses... just ones who do not have to pay taxes... but, nonetheless, they benefit peoples lives.

  • they screwed him over. but it doesn't take away the fact that they help people who needed decent affordable homes, to obtain them. it doesnt supsercede the millions of people who have volunteered countless hours to help these people in the labor of love. don't forget the people with thousands and thousands of dollars in student loan debt to achieve the education needed to lead and run these not-for-profit organizations who are lucky to even make $45,000/yr.

  • I know too many damn good men and women who work for the Navy to make a lviving for their family vice going on welfare and being lazy bums. this video still really makes me very sad. their passion & energy could really go towards something that would make a true difference and tangible.

  • I absolutely agree. Good points. Reed my reply to zyruemusic

  • and who is the devil ?

  • (Cont'd)

Nobody cares about your protests- It is only annoying, and disrespectful to those trying to get their jobs done on base.

  • Maybe if enemy was crossing into Washington destroying everything- you would re-think your position on trident subs. They are not active- they are there to protect. I feel bad for the men serving our country, trying to do their jobs and you people come along trying to *make a difference* to the wrong people. Do you really think your protests will make a difference? Try going to the white house or Washington D.C where the decisions are actually made.

  • It happens every time. You guys do your protest peacefully, but they go after you as soon as you block the main gate access or cross the blue line. Don;t do that and no cops!

  • I've just watched 10 of your play list and I must say I'm brought to tears. Blessings to you for documenting what needs to been SEEN.

  • My thanks and gratitude to the Ground Zero Center for NonViolent Action for keeping the faith. Only when we can stop killing each other, and stop preparing to kill each other, will we get to the mountain top.

  • say what?

  • That's what I said.

    Cease and desist?

  • We need protests for economic slavery that exists in all of the inner city ghettos of America starting with HILLTOP,Tacoma,WA.The banks will let the poor get a 50,000 dollar Cadillac,However when it comes to a 50,000 dollar business loan they say you must get private investors then if you get an private investor from a foreign nation because the investors in America are so arrogant all of a sudden you are a DRUG dealer or a terrorist...What is the Answer??? PLEASE tell me!!!

  • I AGREE! This country is falliny apart. Not a damn thing protestors can do. They are wasting their time. If you really want to make a difference, volunteer. Get out there and help those in need. Stop pestering the blue collar soldiers/sailors protecting us so they can feed their babies.

  • Excellent...great to see this holiday being wrested from the grips of the same people who have always hated people's movements..."McDonald's salutes Dr. Martin Luther King" etc...good going!

  • Thank you, that was fast.

  • Thanks to all who honered Dr. King this way. Thanks to Ground Zero Center for continuing to focus attention on these weapons of horror.

When will this country come to its senses?

  • Martin Luther King would have been proud. This facility houses more nuclear weapons than anywhere else ... and sits in our back yard! Most people living in the Puget Sound area have no idea that they are living so close to nuclear holocaust! Thank you for this wonderful video... and thanks to the people who got arrested.

  • What a beautiful, and fitting, way to celebrate the birth of Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr. Isn't it ironic, though, that it's people like these who stand for peace who are arrested and taken off in handcuffs, when war criminals like George W. Bush, Dick Cheney, and Gen. Colin Powell remain free?

  • Prophetic and moving. I felt teary-eyed seeing people courageous enough to stand with the words of Dr. MLK A moving and prophetic man of God.

    Thanks tbone
