  • Man I gotta hear him sing some more. Is their anymore videos??? Or audio with him singing available somewhere???

  • listen to this guys natural talking voice its already very high for a guy. thats why he can reach those notes

  • EXACTLY:D:D:D

  • he's hitting a B6 at 1:30 in that video. He HAS to be in whistle register to hit that note and having a high pitched talking voice isn't going to make a lot of difference to your ability to sing in whistle register.

B6 I think is 3 octaves higher than his regular talking voice and he's probably capable of singing down to at least C3, maybe lower so that's about 4 octave range, maybe more.

  • Hello Fernoe, I am Billy in the video. I enjoyed reading your comments. I do not read music,(I sing and play piano by ear) but I have sang bass parts in groups and choirs before. Of course I am not a bass singer. Even though I have a high speaking voice I can sing low too. That make be hard to believe, but it's true. When I teach choir, I sing all parts.

  • This is Billy again, sorry for the typo. The sentence is "That may be hard to believe, but it's true."

  • Hah, like a 43 year old would call themselves 616doughboy

  • yeah sorry i wasnt clear i was actually talking about when he is singing in the mix while he played piano

  • could you post the first song that he is singing complete? whats the name of that song by the way and who sings the original?

  • could you post the first song that he is singing complete? whats the name of that song by the way and who sings the original?

  • I would know what he sounded like 8 years ago if you posted the recording. Just b/c you can sing a song high/connected doesn't mean you should. "My God" sung as Muh Guhd in a gospel song means that transposing down needs to be explored. It would sound more conversational/meaningful as opposed to being simply for marketing purposes or for show. This is not a criticism of the program or the singer, just an observation of what I see/hear.

  • Hmm I see where you are coming from however his high C sounds amazing on "my God". And his vowels are NOT distorted as you say they are. He sings them just like he talks them. And correctly at that. He sings in an energetic gospel style that moves thousands of worshippers every sunday morning... I'm sure that Billy is getting the meaning of the songs accrosss as he sings them to the 5 different churches. He moves my soul every time I hear him.

  • I'm in Florida, where is Brett Manning and how can I get some face 2 face training and at what cost? I know about the cds but I'm inquiring about face 2 face vocal training. I have challenges singing in alto, soprano but not Tenor which I am Tenor.

  • Brett is in Nashville, Tennessee. Not too far away from Florida, I don't think.

  • an extremely high-voiced male who clearly has professional level talent (prior to exposure to this program) is being used to market a singing success program to the masses. "I had trouble hitting high C . . . " Yeah right. He almost speaks in tenor high C.

  • We market this product to all levels of talent. Any clip you see of billy here is 8 YEARS after his exposure to the program so you can bet he hits high c easy... now How do you know what he sounded like before his hard work with brett? He had many vocal problems jsut like most of us.

  • Hi I'm Billy in the video, yes,I had trouble hitting high C full out. I have allergies that affect my throat making it hard to sing.I sounded hoarse and notes high or low were not easy to sing.I have no reason to lie.The program helps me sing through my allergies.

  • Hello! I was very very impressend when I saw the video..

I really love the sound of your voice and the way you hit every single note..

Is there any cd in wich you sing or something like that?

  • Hello, thank you dfgrefd for your comment. This is Billy in the video. I made a cd in '96,unfortunately, I sold them all. I hope to have a new project out soon. Thanks again for your comments.

  • That lucky old sun, has nothing to do but roll around heaven all day...

  • That guy is absolutely fantastic!!! I don't know why but black people have something more than white people for singing.

I want to study speech level!!!!!!!!!!

  • prepared to get a lot of hate. But yea, a lot of white people got that pop kind of sound in their voice. While some black people got that natural soul kinda sound to their voice. Saying that, I've seen great white singers and not too good black singers before.

  • I've heard white guys sound more "black" than some black singers. And black guys that sound more "white" than some white soul singers. It's all in the texture.

  • yeah, that's true.. Do you know glenn hughes?

he is my favourite white singer and he sounds very "black" and soulfull..

  • I don't see any way in i can sound like a black guy, i wish i was born black

  • HAHA, everybody has a unique voice. BLACK, WHITE, ASIAN ETC. Thats a stereotype your feeding into.

Can yall look in my favorites and rate my friend's singing. He'll really appreciate constructive criticism.

  • Yea, it should be trained singers vs. untrained singers. Not black vs. white yelow purple, blue

  • you need to have thick vocal chords to sound "black".

listen to anastacia she has a natural thick voice but shes white.

  • anastacia also uses a bit of a nasal tone. When she sings without it (you can hear her sing without it when she sings with a more lyric-sounding tone) she doesnt really 'sound black'. I think Joss Stone does the slightly nasal thing too, her talking voice is completely different from her singing voice.

  • What's the name of that song he's singing at the end of the video.

  • That Lucky Old Sun is the name of the song at the end......

  • I'm sorry but the name of that song he sings at the end is not called "That Lucky Old Sun", it's called "Walk Around Heaven" and it was made popular by a Gospel singer named Bo Williams out of Houston,TX back in the 1980's. ;)

  • thanks for correcting me......

  • I've really enjoyed your program, just doing the exercises a few times a week helped my range to explode, hopefully I will continue to see results as I keep on working with the program. Thanks, Brett

  • Damn this guy can sing. He´s voice reminds me of Steve Wonder, one of my favorite singer. But still, Billy has his own tone. Very nice

  • man I wish you could hear billy in person. The sound just PINGS all over the room as he goes higher and higher. He's so risky which is VERY interesting to listen to. A great inspiration to me.

  • Yeah, I´d like 2 hear it. I can imagine that. He´s just awsome

  • I am going to get this program Brett!

  • hey, I see the people from the forums are here lol :)

  • Does Billy have any CDs out or anything?

  • He had an album from a while back '96 I think. But billy and I are recording him a good gospel demo so we will put taht up on the singing success site soon.

  • Haha yeah the singing success team works out together 5 days a week...

  • Is it me, or does Brett look really really buff in this video?
