  • Damn son, on the hard wood.....knees hurt looking at it

  • This is straight armbar :)

  • Even though i don't understand his verbal explanation, his body language and technique is so tight, that i don't need to understand what he's saying. BJJ is an international language in and of itself. You can literally learn the art from someone who does not speak the same language as you do.

  • I've trained under this guy for 3 months while I was in Seoul: March 2010-May 2010. He is a national brown belt BJJ competitor and one of the best I've rolled with. His school is definitely worth checking out. MARC Jiu-Jitsu Academy near Sungshin Women's University.

  • thats not a reverse arm bar, thumb is up reverse it needs to be down and the arm bridged from wrist to upper arm, still pretty slick tho

  • This guy actually went past a submission to get another one. He had a really nice face over (meaning his leg when he steps over) straight arm lock.

  • i think its actually a mat with a wood finish

  • On a wooden floor, what the hell!!!!

  • Japanese are insane... they would even train judo on a wooden floor.

  • Korean

  • @dichaos These guys are Korean and those are the wood color puzzle mats.

  • its just an armbar from knee on belly he just secures it before he puts his knee up

if u put ur knee up first ppl tend to try to push it with their arm, just under hook and go

makes it easier to get the arm

  • Are you guys doing that on a wooden floor???

  • i just noticed that too. crazy ass asians.

  • That is not a reverse armbar!!

  • Duh Thats HOW To Reverse an ArmBar. Read The Description

  • ching chang ping pong

  • I don't understand your cracka' talk. Sounds like you're looking for some wooden crosses to burn on people's lawns. :)

  • u can complete this with out the leg over the body its a bit faster i like how he talks about the thumb being up they dont show that in to many videos

  • lol crazy...my instructor went over the same technique at class last night.

  • looks like you need to be fast as lightning for that to work... also mats make for way easier training....

  • not really, ive pulled it off so many times

  • Oh then there not hard there just poor and badly educated probably don't know about rubber yet

  • Japanese are hard as shit...on some hard ass wood flooring lol

  • they are koreans

  • @YiuYeung I don't mind.

  • Just an armbar. ..

  • straight, not reverse.

  • Hmmm...I thought I was going to see a reverse armbar? We call this a spinning armbar.

  • It's just a step over armbar, you tricked me! hahaha

  • wait why is it called a reverse armbar?

isnt this just a farside armbar??

  • @jackass77780 if it were a far side armbar everyone would have to be really fat and not doing anything right and it would be really funny.

  • hahahh that guy

  • Looks pretty solid. I'll try this next week!

  • nice technique. is putting the left leg over partner's body necessary?

  • for beginners yes but once you feel the movement of the armbar and ur comfortable on the ground u can leave stomach leg off. just remember to drive your ankles down.

  • thanks for the tip

  • also unless you're very good at making things tight (read:extremely good) some people will ALWAYS escape when the leg is under. It makes (from what i can glean from numerous instructors) the safest armbar escape a very easy option though a variation of spiders web could go towards preventing that

  • Very nice. Cool to see a Korean instructing something other than TKD.

  • judo is a big sport in korea too, they dont just do TKD

  • Yes but its Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, not Judo ground fighting (Newaza)

  • uhhh...yes i'm sure judo guys don't do explosive speed based armbar/armlock submissions =_= *cough*

  • great technique

  • Nice job on the video. I posted it to InternetSparring.com.
