I think college bhangra teams are pretty awesome.. but technically.. bhangra is a guy's dance.. giddah is a girl's dance.. I think performance bhangra is a little too butch for girls.. girls don't look good jumping arnd that much.. they shud do more elegant moves
@basanti5 I just watched the video in question and I assure you that neither Komal nor I have ever seen that video before. We came up with the choreography in early june (before that was posted) and drew from original moves with a few old MIT Bhangra moves thrown in. I'm also curious as to what sequence or timings you think are the same. I doubt anybody copied anybody here.

Go to any village in the heart of punjab, that is MAJHa, which literally means the heartland of punjab, that is the amritsar belt, and say shit about jatts there...the place where sikhism originated (Majha). @jattatheart111 When you trace back our ancestors, they were hindus who converted to Sikhism. You are mixing culture with religion, when they are 2 seperate entities. Rituals like having khandpaths and kirtan's are man-made. They are not written in the Guru Garanth Sahib. And ofcourse caste system is common in India b/c that is the mentality they grew up with, bt u no better...if ur gonna call urself jatt or tarkhan or lubana, then don't call urself a Sikh b/c ur defying everything it stands 4.

Besides hindus, there were a lot of muslims that converted, but the biggest conversion was done by the Jatts, and they for the most part were pagans. Get your shit straight. Oh one more thing. India was never one country before the british came, it was a bunch of empires, surrounded by its natural borders the himalayas and the indian ocean which the brits called the india.

There are punjabis in pakistan and also gujratis there as well. Claiming to be jatt, tarkhan, lubana, Saini, etc. is segregating yourself within those groups - hence caste system.
