JUST FOUND THIS ON THE NET Gary Moore died hours after checking into the five-star Kempinski Hotel in Estepona with an unnamed female friend. Suites at the luxury resort can cost up to £3,500 a night.
Moore's companion, who is in her 30s, was described as 'very distraught, in floods of tears' as the tragedy unfolded.
@HOOKSnKISSES Even Paul Gilbert said the same about his picking style (after Gary's death). And Gary was naturally left handed, he played with his "weaker" hand. But this video doesn't show his fastest solos, i can tell you that.
YOU FUCKING LIAR gibson492 YOU TOLD A DEVBEDFORD 2 MONTHS AGO ON THE STILL GOT THE BULES VIDEO THAT YOU WISH YOU HAD SEEN GARY MOORE LIVE . NOW YOU SAY YOU HAVE SEEN HIM 5 TIMES YOUR A FUCKING JOKE . AND WHY DO YOU POST UNDER AT LEAST 6 NAMES ?
I really got into Gary a couple months before he died. I just devoured any vid on youtube. I must say that this compilation was actually pretty repetitive and not a great representation of his genius. Although, the more of his music you do listen to, the more you will notice that recycles a lot of riffs. Especially in powerful ballads like Still got the blues and Parisienne walkways, there's a couple other songs that are right in the same vein and the solos are very similar.
That is an Awesome video you made, I can't believe people are comparing him to anybody else gimmeabreak its Gary Moore... Randy Rhodes really how in the past is that dude ..
@anuar1978 No offense, but you obviously not well aware of Gary Moore and his guitar work. Please check out my uploads and my favourites, and you will see, that he is much more than just shred.
There are blues guys that, every once in a while, wish their fingers could keep up with their thoughts. There are players that shred, but wish they had Gary's soul. Then again, you have Gary. The complete package. I like that he gave props to Roy, because I understand that. What a talent. I am glad to have had the opportunity to have been alive during his time. Great stuff.
thats some awesome shredding.but i think what made gary so great was his sense of style . every note had just the right feeling! I would have to say that joe bonamassa has that same ability. 2 amazing guitarists for sure!!
they say you learn something new everyday - I'm 50 and just now discovered Gary Moore via hitting replay on my comp where my 17-year-old guitarist was sitting and this truly blew me away!!!! Gee, I always thought Clapton was the worlds greatest---I have to rethink my position on this: again freaking awesome!
WTF, where have I been?? can't believe I just got this news on YouTube. this cat died 4 days b-4 my 51st. one of my top guitarists all time. never heard a guitar cry like his version of the Roy Buchanon classic, The Messiah will come again. was allways lookn' for his next C'D. Damn, gonna miss your music Bro!! R.I.P.
Great collection,,,when i heared that gary had died,i was drunk ,and i blubbed like a baby,,,,but im certainly not looking forward to the day when i see my other fave gutarists some of whom are ,malsteen, trower, gilbert, satriani, lee, zak, etc,,being so old that they cant play their magic anymore,,that will be a sad day for me !!!
Gary Moore my idol. Now that you gone, you will be hear in my heart. You will allways be my inspiration and my hero. Thank you for all the joy you given me for all these years and i will never forget you or your music. If you can read this in some way i just wanna say, Thank you very mutch and im very happy that i had the uppertunity to see you live 4 times and that i will never forget it. Rest In Peace The King of the Blues Mr Gary Moore
Im always gonna love you, if loving means forever. RIP My Hero and Guitar Idol....U will be missed and thank you for ur music over the years......From Bahrain.
Still got the blues + Parisian walkways + Still in love with you + I had a dream + Trouble ain't far behind = a few of my favorites. Still got the blues though, some of those licks are terrifyingly emotional!
this is the first time hearing this guy, i thought he was striclty blues but hes playing some intense rock and roll and even metal solos....hes on my watch list and shit to listen too, along with johnny winter whom ive just heard the other day..

All of these are great but my favorite was his cover of Jimi's "Red House" at the Fender concert.
That was mind blowing.

was considered a"custom" instrument back in the day.Rick Nielsen and M.A.B

@josiahgust You are correct in your observation. But to be fair,i have noticed
similar patterns in compositions from Jimmy Page,David T.Chastain and

gary moore made blues and rock
joe bonamassa is making blues and rock.
