  • HI IS (NOT WAS) THE BLUES-ROCK KING!!!!

  • slash also liked and met rory gallagher another of irelands greatest guitarists

  • He's da man!!

  • A great guitarist, singer and songwriter.

  • May God bless his soul..

  • this made my flash player crash

  • what a talent we've lost in gary.

  • He was so damn good.

All of these are great but my favorite was his cover of Jimi's "Red House" at the Fender concert.

    That was mind blowing.

  • I saw every great rock guitarist from Hendrix to Van Halen and back again, live in concert.

Gary Moore was the best I ever heard, period. :D

He was the Secretariat of Rock Guitarists.....

    rip

  • MAN! i enjoyed that

  • yes we lost a great one R.I.P. Gary Moore.

  • My all time favorite player. Had the best technique in a range of styles. Nobody can touch him. We lost a great one last year.

  • This man had so many guitar skills...

And the fastest !TRULY COORDINATED! picking in the world was just one of 'em...

  • @HOOKSnKISSES Even Paul Gilbert said the same about his picking style (after Gary's death). And Gary was naturally left handed, he played with his "weaker" hand. But this video doesn't show his fastest solos, i can tell you that.

  • @FanFromEurope Gary learned to play righty out of necessity,a left-handed guitar

was considered a"custom" instrument back in the day.Rick Nielsen and M.A.B

Michael Angelo Batio, are natural lefties too.

  • just made this a mp3

  • great great great !!!!!!!!!!!

  • at 2.30, is that dave st hubbins?

  • Thanks for posting this! He's one of the greatest who ever laid fingers upon a fretboard.

  • THE BEST

  • I really got into Gary a couple months before he died. I just devoured any vid on youtube. I must say that this compilation was actually pretty repetitive and not a great representation of his genius. Although, the more of his music you do listen to, the more you will notice that recycles a lot of riffs. Especially in powerful ballads like Still got the blues and Parisienne walkways, there's a couple other songs that are right in the same vein and the solos are very similar.

  • @josiahgust You are correct in your observation. But to be fair,i have noticed

similar patterns in compositions from Jimmy Page,David T.Chastain and

Michael Schenker. And i love all of those guitarists i just mentioned.

  • looks like dale dobach

  • That is an Awesome video you made, I can't believe people are comparing him to anybody else gimmeabreak its Gary Moore... Randy Rhodes really how in the past is that dude ..

  • deeeeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaaammmmmnmnnnnnnnnnn

  • this sucks. not that melodic. just shred, exept of still got the blues. but thats it. not compareable with slash or jimmy page.

  • @anuar1978 No offense, but you obviously not well aware of Gary Moore and his guitar work. Please check out my uploads and my favourites, and you will see, that he is much more than just shred.

  • @anuar1978 WELL none of them are Randy Rhoads but gary is the next best thing!!!!rock on forever Gary & Randy R.I.P.

  • @anuar1978 want more melodic? want more blues? Check out his guitar duet with BB. King, thats freaking awesome!

  • @anuar1978 I respect your opinions,so please respect mine.If you think Jimmy Page,let alone

Slash, are better than Gary Moore, you need to research your views about guitar.

  • Damn Awesome , still one of my favourite Guitarists , he and Paul Kossoff R.I.P

  • king of the blues

  • woooooo!!

  • There are blues guys that, every once in a while, wish their fingers could keep up with their thoughts. There are players that shred, but wish they had Gary's soul. Then again, you have Gary. The complete package. I like that he gave props to Roy, because I understand that. What a talent. I am glad to have had the opportunity to have been alive during his time. Great stuff.

  • @2xpop Gary was about as a total package of a guitarist that you could get

    And i agree,that i was not a johnny-come-lately to his music.There will never

be another Gary Moore. But there will be many who will try,i wish them the best.

  • thats some awesome shredding.but i think what made gary so great was his sense of style . every note had just the right feeling! I would have to say that joe bonamassa has that same ability. 2 amazing guitarists for sure!!

  • awsome....

  • my second favorite of all time after Rory Gallagher!!!Both great sons of Eire!!!

  • I love this guy BUT hated all these solos.... .. I like his blues stuff.. this was all noise...

  • Gary was awesome, RIP.

Joe Bonnamassa is the best, though.

  • @josxr It's exactly the other way round: Joe Bonamassa is awesome, Gary Moore is the best. Bonamassa would admit to it as well.

  • @FanFromEurope @josxr stop fucking comparing.

gary moore made blues and rock

joe bonamassa is making blues and rock.

without people like gary blues and rock would never exist

without people like bonamassa rock and blues will die

    no need to compare

  • they say you learn something new everyday - I'm 50 and just now discovered Gary Moore via hitting replay on my comp where my 17-year-old guitarist was sitting and this truly blew me away!!!! Gee, I always thought Clapton was the worlds greatest---I have to rethink my position on this: again freaking awesome!

  • thumbs up for black screens :)

  • WTF, where have I been?? can't believe I just got this news on YouTube. this cat died 4 days b-4 my 51st. one of my top guitarists all time. never heard a guitar cry like his version of the Roy Buchanon classic, The Messiah will come again. was allways lookn' for his next C'D. Damn, gonna miss your music Bro!! R.I.P.

  • @mtnkng1 one of the only guitarists I would have paid good money to see preform..a sickening tragedy.

  • @HenryWinehard I did and it was always worth every penny. I must have scene him 10 times. Never left disapointed.

    RIP

  • The greatest for my money.

  • Rest in Peace Gary...you rocked the world.

  • This video has 0 dislikes... AWESOME!!!

  • Great collection,,,when i heared that gary had died,i was drunk ,and i blubbed like a baby,,,,but im certainly not looking forward to the day when i see my other fave gutarists some of whom are ,malsteen, trower, gilbert, satriani, lee, zak, etc,,being so old that they cant play their magic anymore,,that will be a sad day for me !!!

  • @eckankarpaul You should'nt wish for that day, instead be consoled in the fact

that Andres Segovia and Les Paul were very proficient until thier last days. That

should be a joyous thought, your heroes still playing thier hearts out until the end.

  • God I miss him...

But what a back catalouge he's left us

  • nice work ! :)) lovely video

  • omg Chuck Williams is 1,000 times better

  • thumbs down if gary moore is the worst guitarist ever

    (hopefully this will work) lol

  • This video once again proves he was a god amongst men. Far ahead of his time this guy.

  • Did you have to put in so many shredding clips?

Also, I would have sex with the Les Paul at 4:51
