  • This guy is INSANE!!! OH MY GOD LISTEN TO THAT GUITAR

  • They didnt want the new songs? :(

  • best musican ever...

  • "Good night Austin, Texas wherever you are.."

  • I was a bouncer in the '70's -- and a wannabe musician (keyboards & GUITAR).

I was working backstage at the Santa Monica Civic when I heard Frank warming up on his Pignose. That was the best I EVER heard him play -- live or recorded -- by one order of magniude. (He played BEAUTIFULLY for 30 minutes without at break.)

The guitar icons at the time (and now) were Jimi, Eric, Jimmy, Jeff, and Carlos, but I hope people listen for glimpses of guitar greatness in Frank's playing.

  • definately reminds me of O'Doyle sister from its always sunny in philidelphia

  • Watched him play Glasgow, twice, way back..... when...., He blew us all away.

  • It wasnt until last year that I was blessed with knowing that this song was why my dad always said "He thought he was a man, but he was a muffin" my whole life. Thank you father.

His erratic lyrics somehow conveys our sensless boring lives in an interesting way and he plays a fucking mean guitar. Im talking about Zappa by the way.

  • jo Frank R.I.P

  • Er ist das beste was mir musikalisch im leben passiert ist. Einfach wundervoll !

  • Man...We are blessed with some incredible musical minds and guitarist in our era but none anymore brilliant and gifted than Zappa...muffin man was one of the songs that got me playing...Zappa and Ronnie Montrose were two main motivators for me at 13 years of age...

  • @iSeiranai really! i didn't know that!! but he was a perfectionist who had a great sense of humor...so get it right! well, lol, the second time!! ; )

  • TVTropes: In the intro to Frank Zappa's Muffin Man, he flubs a line, breaks down laughing, and mutters "Let's try that again," before repeating the sentence.

  • Recent Zappa fan and I think I came in my pants

  • Of course he was a pretentious bastard! That was his signature!! A fucking awesome musician who knew how to play and how to play his audience even more lol! A lasting quote from the Dude was that nostalgia kills!!! Now if there's such a thing as heaven n they let him in...! ; )))

  • i agree with the description........but awesome song........
