Wow, this nearly made me cry, such great and magical feelings, i wondered, whats out there in that big world of azeroth? another beautiful zone like this one, still didnt know how to open my map, so, i began shootin things with my gun :)
@goblin2055 You don't need a curse addon to extract the music. I have no problems there and wouldn't mind teaching you the right way. I was just wondering if this still played in game.
I adore the very first few piano keys.. whenever I hear them it gives me a sort of, lonely emotion, as if I'm really alone on a cold snowy mountain. <3
On my first trail account I made a Human and after that I made a second with a Dwarf.
I was shocked! Where was Elwynn Forest?
I thought that every race would start at the same place and that it was random everymonth.
And then this music in the background when i was disappointed.
Just as disappointed as I'm now when i remember the fun i had in leveling my Warlock to 60, after that the magic slowely became less and now at 80 i made the decision that I quit
I started with a gnome lock and wow if I remember this music. I loved to explore, to get new cool spells, to get new friends and all that. wow isnt the same now, just powerlevelers everywhere.
On my first trail account i made a Human and after that i made a second with a Dwarf.
I was shocked! Where was Elwynn Forest?
I thought that every race would start at the same place and that it was random everymonth.

If I remember correctly.. I have heard this in Arathi Highlands.
I remember this when I was jumping of the bridge leading to wetlands, then swimming east and turning left, then eventually finding a small dwarven farm, and the piano at 0:04 started playing and it freaked me out! because it was so close to arathi, but it was separated from the places where players are, so alone, but it have always been there, never seen by players, that + the music made me run away from there crying (almost...)
First time I ever saw the game, my dad's friends were playing as dwarves and were running around... somewhere... in the newbie area killing bunnies and /lol'ing. Heh. Then I played the game.... and it was... amazing. Absolutely... amazing. And I still think the game is great, I just want that feeling back.
I am serious while typing this out; Everytime i listen to this theme, it feels like it is the first time. It gives me a feeling as if i am climing some misty mountain path and keep on re-appearing in the very same location i started off. Creepy stuff, the truth is that i totally forget that i listened to the theme a hour later, but recall it immediately when re-playing the video.
@wovenv2 Don't be ridiculous. Warcraft has never lost it's soul, it's progressively become a better game with each expansion. If you believe hardcore gameplay experiences that teeter towards sadistic tones are a good thing, then you are horrible mistaken. You're only saying what you are saying because you have lost some form of interest - the bloody game has been out for 5+ years. EVERYTHING in life loses its magic after a while.
@chaos1shadow Obviously, everything loses its magic. I still enjoy the game, I found it more rewarding and difficult back then, though. I was wrong in saying it's lost its soul, it's only changed.
And whether it's better or not now is completely a matter of taste, but I find it hard not to draw the conclusion, considering some new additions and changes, that it's more about earning money than it was before.
Sorry for not saying that it was only my opinion.
@wovenv2 No, that's fine. Of course it was your opinion. I just get tired of people always saying that old franchises have lost their touch! Gets kinda annoying, I see it everywhere. But no, you are right that it is a matter of taste - in a manner of game play definitely. But for me, the main themes of story and socialization in the game have always been the same and I enjoy those so much. The gameplay has lost alot of its challenge, but that's not a bad thing for 50% of the casual audience.
@chaos1shadow WoW has never been a challenge. it was easy from the start. Play EQ or any other ball-busting game, then play WoW. the kids had it wayyy easy
When I want to be alone in Wow I go to the very edge of Winterspring, there you can find a chair...just sitting there and look out over the world and listening to this music brings flashbacks. It's those moments I'll to find the very nostalgic feeling I had about over 4 years ago..but I still go to that place and enjoy the loneliness every time *smiles*
@guineagirl1 It sounds funny when you put it that way ae? I mean it's just a game, but I understand fully. I had so many awesome, fun and well prety magical times in Wow. You lose yourself sometimes in the game. How cool would it be if we could make Avatars of ourselves and go to a world like this?
@tikiToruk Yeh I damit, I can take the game a little too seriously sometimes and I do loose myself in it...think it's the music affecting me these moments ^^ oh well I only got myself to blame :)
Oh, Dun Morogh. I remember you so. Such magic and beauty in your music and atmosphere. I may be a night elf, but I'm jealous of those drunken dwarven crazies for such beauty. I made a dwarf once. Sadly didn't get too far on it and deleted it. :( You don't see many dwarves anymore. A shame. ;_;
This song reminds me of when i played trial... And since i live in europe and it was the american trial it was always night when i played. I miss nighttime in wow. So still
it was really fun coz we were imagining cool stuff. it took me 7 hours to be lvl 9 or so, but the very first time I went do duskwood and i was stealthing and hiding behind trees hoping wolfs wont see me xD I was scared the hell out of me.
but i just remember the magical feeling of exploring elwynn..westfall.. stumbling into duskwood... falling into danger and running to safety... and meeting up with other explorers along the way... very good times...
recently i started a human mage again, and trying to savor the magic
@gerillamotherf oh yeah the first time you play this game its amazing how endless the regions and the awe feeling you get when you entered all the different areas. too bad the feeling goes away after time :(
@killamon28 i used to make a char just to travel all places u know,
i wanted to go to ghostlands but didnt knew i needed TBC wich i hadn't , so i went swimming from trifisfal, i swam above stratholme and then thoughed i reached ghostlands but still was swimming.i was like huu? i spended like 3 hours swimming XD
@gerillamotherf just as you my first character was a dwarf hunter!.. i didnt understand any english, didnt know what to do.. still.. the feeling was amazing.. thats the first time of playing each of the pre-bc races... after that its all serious :( i wish i was a noob again!
@gerillamotherf I have to agree...I played WoW during the time of the Burning Crusade and I have a lot of fond memories of it, just exploring and doing quests with my friends. Wish I could go back in time to those years just to relieve that "magic" you described.
@gerillamotherf same for me. there is something in this game that you just can't find somewhere else... the place that you discover with this awesome music... this will be a big memory of my life but not a lot of people can understand that...
its true i love the game and the soundtracks... but i miss the times of lvl 30-50... that where the biutifulst lvl areas ever!!! and the soundtracks: epic and amazing
Those memories are starting to come back to me too. I really miss the good times. I miss the friends I have and the friends that were once around then disappeared for no reason.
For some reason this reminds me of something I'd hear off of Star Trek. Star Trek: The WoW Generation! This is the story of the Kodo Enterprise and it's quests.
I want to create a time machine so I can go back and play all great games from the beginning hehe.. like ocarina of time.. a link to the past, wind waker.. mass effect, everquest II and Of course WOW!
Indeed! I get the chills everytime I hear this one, reminds me of so many memories from WoW. Sometimes I wish I had recorded all my playtime on all my characters.
The begening is sooo beautiful. It reminds me of moment when i was playing in winterspring, and just when I got to lvl60 that music started. The best moment I had in the game:)
The best way that I can describe this music is that it sounds like the calm, cold embrace of a starry winter's night. How lovely it would be to go to such a grandeur place, where you could feel as if this same music should play there. I love this music, <3
1:35 is my fav part, i always stop and shut my eyes when i heard that. It just so epic. Im horde and i love the alli zones and music, aswell as my own. I love the game and see that we are all just ppl playing a game, not really orcs... saying ones better then the other is silly
agree'd, i was bloodelf and i loved dun morogh was the first land i came (my 1st char was dwarf) and i just love the msuic and all its so peacefull :)
eey man get to the highest point in dun morogh or winterspring with this song. then overlook dun morogh or winterspring. AT NIGHT. iffd u see it you would wish it was in real life
I remember fishing in the lake in Dun Morogh when I first started playing this game years ago. It was at night and I was just fishing on the little boat in the middle on my level 5 dwarf warrior. Good times...
buuh...thats crazy shit....i listen to this song and all the fucking memories are coming back :s i played WoW for 80days.....80 days x 24 = 1920hours...thats sick! i stopped playing since last octobre! im happy...but i really miss the beautiful game....best game ever but a huge risk to get addicted!
My favorite zone in WoW is Alterac Mountains...I am lv 80 Mage,i have entire epic gear,i have done all raids and instances that i can...and now,i am lurking trought Azeroth, and my favorite zone is Alterac Mountains.
I clicked on this. Not remembering what it was, and when I did I heard the first like, and went into tears. Too many memories of sitting around here and hearing this.
I am quite new to WoW, and I was amazed by the quality of the soundtrack, I heard it was good but its mindblowing, and as for the scale of the game, its outstanding. Thanks for the upload:) I love WoW at night, almost as much as I love the Horde:P
My first char ever was dwarf hunter and even tough i dont play anymore, Dun Morogh is always where my heart will be! <3

Brother asleep, playing late at night in the WInter.

The best way that I can describe this music is that it sounds like the calm, cold embrace of a starry winter's night. How lovely it would be to go to such a grandeur place, where you could feel as if this same music should play there. I love this music, <3

Man the memories. Sometimes I just go hanging out in dun morogh at night, climb up high where there are no mobs and just sit there listening...

My fav soundtrack ingame. Sadly there's only one music theme each zone plus most zone themes are boring.

1:35 is my fav part, i always stop and shut my eyes when i heard that. It just so epic. Im horde and i love the alli zones and music, aswell as my own. I love the game and see that we are all just ppl playing a game, not really orcs... saying ones better then the other is silly

I remember fishing in the lake in Dun Morogh when I first started playing this game years ago. It was at night and I was just fishing on the little boat in the middle on my level 5 dwarf warrior. Good times...

I am quite new to WoW, and I was amazed by the quality of the soundtrack, I heard it was good but its mindblowing, and as for the scale of the game, its outstanding. Thanks for the upload:) I love WoW at night, almost as much as I love the Horde:P

I love Dun Morogh at night. Its..very serene..very calming. I just ride around on my mount and randomly stop at places to listen to this.
..and to gank the occasional flaged Gnome >_>..
