  • Comment removed

  • This sound is like drugs to my ears. Riffage. And, Dan <3

  • old black keys > new black keys

i mean i love most of brothers but nothin on el camino can hold a candle to this

  • @imperialwatercloset Amen to this

  • @imperialwatercloset i totally agree

  • Waiting for "El Camino" :D

  • I need to step out of the room to calm down.

  • What guitar he uses? She looks totally awesome.

  • @Luchko55 Supposedly it's a Jerry Donahue Telecaster, with quite a few mods. Added a bigsby, a different pickguard, and Dimarzio pickups.

  • @ReeseMac That is what is so undeniably authentic about The Black Keys, you most likely have heard a lot of their music as they have been around a while. Been out longer than the movie Black Snake Moan with When The Lights Go Out. Saw them on tour with the Kings Of Leon. Went to see the Keys and unfortunately who ever ran the sound board at Time Warner Music Pavilion this summer did the band a disservice considering how good they are live. ~ The Black Keys Saving Rock and Roll one song at a time

  • I like that they rock so much and are not commercially successful. I don't know if they like that or not, but I do.

  • Top top top band. Nr 1

  • Amazing. And I love how people forget about the importance of hip-hop in the Black Keys' sound. Anyone who tries to deny that has never met drummer Pat to ask him.

  • @MichaelSirois I think anyone who tries to sit still while listening to these guys can probably recognize the hip-hop effect at least a little bit.

  • the thing about The Black Keys is a blend of rock n roll and blues, when you sing blues you can't fake it or it's recognizable. Mainstream can't manipulate that. This is also what stands them out from the bands they've been compared to.

  • is this off of a DVD?

  • yep, ohio keeps on rockin!

  • I dont need to seethem !! (well i seethem here) but just hearing the 3 chords and the truth formula still back to the rootsworks!!!.....

  • @slaveonfools yeah they sold out 2 shows here in Portland months before either of them. Portland loves them.

  • so friggen awesome. They are so great it's hard to put into words.

  • Long live young blues music!

  • I gotta admit I never heard of these guys until about 3 weeks ago when I was listening to a blues radio station play "Just A little Heat". They need a big commercial push of some sort even though they've already been on Letterman and had their music featured in movies and tv. They need a bigger push and once the masses get a wiff of their classic / blues rock sound then they'll get the recognition that they deserve. Right now the "machine" is pushing acts like the Jonas Brothers& Miley Cirus.

  • @ReeseMac they are recently selling out shows....my sister and I can't get tickets to a show near us fast enough before it sells out!

  • @TricieBeline same here, in bc they sold out fast

  • @ReeseMac maybe that don't want that type of recognition...

  • @simsdogg92 Maybe. I don't know what their feelings are about fame so I can't say whether they want that or not. .......but they did recently play on SNL with Jim Carrey as host so they're not exactly shying away from the limelight either.

  • @ReeseMac some things are just better when you discover them instead of the "machine" shoving it in your face. im glad you found them. i dont think the black keys "need" anything. they consistently make good music and arent exactly begging for change

  • @ReeseMac Welcome to the world of Rock 'N' Roll brother.

  • @ReeseMac there are countries other then the US.

this "machine" of yours pushes different "artists" in different counries, but what do i care? Most people with good musical taste still listen to the Black Keys and music like this, i couldn't care less what my 11 year old neighbour listens to.

  • @ReeseMac Shut of your radio and your sirius. The hip bands that are feature on late night tv are just being tested for marketability. It is a test to see what people will buy-and over all the nation has bought crap (your jonas and cyrus remark). But there is always awesome music. I'd rather see great bands in small venues for less bucks as often as possible than see a great band "make it" and have to wait in line and be overcharged.

  • @ReeseMac well i think they accomplished that now

  • @ReeseMac Therefore ''Lonley Boy'' was made.

  • @jezzejam I"m sory but lonley boy isn't good enough

  • the black keys are officially the best band ever.

  • @tovinw for sure my favourite band !!!!!

  • Great quality
