idR haben die w123er 4-Gang-Getriebe, das 5-Gang-Getriebe kostete Aufpreis. Bringt bei Beschleunigung und Vmax nichts, aber der Verbrauch sinkt (beim 280er wie hier im Video) von 12-13 auf 11-12,5l, also etwa 1 liter, können aber auch nur 0,5 oder aber auch 1,5 liter sein.

da muste aber früh schalten bei 12-13 Liter..!! Ich hatte als erstes Auto 1989 ´nen 82er 280E 4Gang, und der ist nicht unter 15 Liter gelaufen, allerdings hat der nur Vollgas gekriegt !! Wie das mit 18J. eben so war !! Der 5Gang ist,wie Du schon sagtest, von Gang 1 - 4 gleich,allerdings hat der ´nen E-Gang und dadurch kannste den Verbrauch etwas verringern. Mein Damaliger hat bei Vollgas auch gerne mal 18Liter genommen und dann noch "Männersprit" !! War ´ne coole Karre.

body style ran from 1975 to 1985

This is from 1980, it is explained in this video.

The coupé (C123) had the oblong lights at the front always as standard. This rally-version was different.

The limo (W123) and the estates (S123)had the round lights from 1976-1982. From 1982 till 1985 all versions had the oblong lights.

And every 280 and 280E had the oblong lights from 1976-1985, like the coupés.
