Bless you for posting- always been a Pete Fountain freak and read that he dug Irving- NOW, I know where Pete was coming from...Fazola's tone is super.

Fazola was his nickname - his real name was Irving Prestopnik. I met him at his home in New Orleans in 1943 when I was a 19 y/o soldier, as my army buddy knew his family. In my opinion, he had a better clarinet sound than Shaw or Goodman.
