Cuttlebug and Sizzix

if i have sizzlet borders can i use them with the cuttlebug new border plates? How many plates? Or can i only use the sizzlet border plates in cuttlebug

Can I just purchase the long plates that Stampin Up sells instead of using the shorter plates? Will the longer plates fit in the cuttlebug?

@TypingTeacher195 Actually you can now buy long plates for the cuttlebug. I believe the long plates for the big shot will not fit in the cuttlebug....

hii great video..i want to buy a cuttlebug, i'm from southamerica so i don't really have that much information...i was wondering, when you buy the machine, it comes with the samples to die and cut? or you have to buy?..in amazon there are 2 cuttlebags, the green one and a white-blue one with a kit...i don't know which one to buy and if i need to buy something else right away, thank you :)

@anita1271 I would save the money. You can use our spellbinders dies in your cuttlebug, you just need to get a silicon mat. Spellbinders makes one, but I know others have gone to Lowes and purchased a plumbers mat (I think thats what it's called). Hope the helps :)

@Chris416ward I used A-B-die-paper-C. These are the Sq. red sizzlets that I was trying to use. She

@sheshe840 try A-B-die-paper-B-piece of cereal bo cardboard as a shim. It'll make it tighter but not as tight as the C plate that you said felt TOO tight. This is what I do sometimes. Sometimes just a piece of paper instead of cardbooard works too.

@Lindascapper absolutely. You do have to use the bigz or original dies though. The Sizzlits are too thin and won't cut chipboard on either the cuttlebug or big shot. Hugs Christina

I am sooooo happy I found your video, I was just about to throw the die cuts and the cuttlebug through the window with frustration! So now you have saved me even more money! I found that to use the sizzlets alphabets through the cuttlebug, it helped to put two pieces of cardstock between the A and first B plate as well, now they cut perfectly every time......Thanks again for your help.

The green one is the Cuttlebug and the black one is called the Big Shot by Sizzix
