I have managed to make the other jib (Homemade jib HD) ajustable: The original ten-foot version, and a six-foot version. It breaks down to four feet. Will try to post footage by weekend.
Not really; this was my first attempt at making a jib. After making this one, I dismantled it and made the one with the pan and tilt head. Now all I need to do is get the movements smoother and make the arm 12' collapsible to 4'.

How is the tilt mechanism for smoothness? I built a jib but it's not adjustable.

sounds good, yeah that's the main thing keeping me back. If I build one it has to be able to fit in the trunk of my car.
