Let's clear all the BS, overall in modern air-to-air combat the F-22 has the superior advantage, equipped with long range sensors, infrared and night vision enhance capability, superb stealth and supersonic cruise design, and last the unique vector thrust nozzle for amazing climbing and maneuverability. In 1962 it was designed to be a tactical bomber and/or recon, but in 1968 improved upon and designed exclusively for recon.

ACtually, I believe the red device is used to spray a liquid or something. Not sure what but it does something to block the jet engine exhaust. I think they used a pitot tube in the nose to record the data. Yes, I meant "pitot". The computer system onboard is AMAZING.
Sorry mate, you're incorrect. Talk to Lockheed Martin. The device measures information not measures by the pitot tube. This was during the test trials of the F/A-22 before it was put into production.

Note at 1:00, when both perform the "flat spin", a maneuver where the pilots submits the plane to high AOA by performing s spin in the vertical axis, a very hard maneuver, since most planes begin to stall, but vectoring thrust helps a lot. Watch the spin rate of both planes and tell which one pitch faster. It shoud be a indicative of control at high AOA.

Apples and oranges dude. The F-22 is more of an air to air interceptor while the Lightning II is more of an air superiority fighter/strike aricraft. Also we stripped down a lot of the avionics and other equipment since we are sharing the F-35 with our allies. There is a strict ban on selling ANY F-22 technology to anyone. They are both really nice though.

The United states military needs air superiority. Air superiority is a decisive factor which lead to the defeat of Japan and Germany in WWII. The United States Military is unlikely to encounter a war like the one in Iraq again for a long time. Our military needs to retain its conventional warfare roots, all other factors are secondary. That means our air force must not be one step ahead of all other nations, but two.
Ignoring the fact that the US doesn't need any of this to actually defend itself... the US already has air superiority over every nation on the planet several dozens of times over. NATOs military spending is 20x that of China or Russia and 166x that of Iran. None of these are threats in a conventional war.
This "need" for more weapons to maintain a lead is absolute nonsense. In most cases, the US is the ones arming these countries in the first place.

The first F-15C was built 30 years ago. Machines don't last forever, especially ones subjected to the rigors of air combat. The F-15 & F-16 fleet is nearing (and in some cases has already surpassed) their life expectancy. They can't fly forever.
It's hard to compare this to other fighters. It CAN dogfight, it DOES carry a gun for short range air to air, but primarily this is a missile boat, acquiring lock and firing from distances greater than most/any other craft can detect presence of threat. Im sure theres a fighter or two that may win in the short range dogfight. But with range, stealth and speed in favor of the raptor, that would be a RARE scenario.
Dog fighting almost always comes down to the skill of the pilots, The F22 is close enough ( thats IF the other fighters actully surpass it at all) that the Pilot has a fighting chance in any engagment.

War with China or Russia =/= Nuclear warfare. This isn't the Cold War anymore. In fact it would be very important to have the F-22 in a conflict with Russia or China. If the war were to escalate gradually, air superiority could allow the use of the Airborne Laser to ensure that a nuclear exchange never took place. Russia is building their next fighter, USA has to keep up.
Also, keep in mind Russia exports a LOT of aircraft, and the current Su-27 is already good enough to win against the F-15.

ACtually, I believe the red device is used to spray a liquid or something. Not sure what but it does something to block the jet engine exhaust. I think they used a pitot tube in the nose to record the data. Yes, I meant "pitot". The computer system onboard is AMAZING.

Sorry mate, you're incorrect. Talk to Lockheed Martin. The device measures information not measures by the pitot tube. This was during the test trials of the F/A-22 before it was put into production.

Note at 1:00, when both perform the "flat spin", a maneuver where the pilots submits the plane to high AOA by performing s spin in the vertical axis, a very hard maneuver, since most planes begin to stall, but vectoring thrust helps a lot. Watch the spin rate of both planes and tell which one pitch faster. It shoud be a indicative of control at high AOA.

Apples and oranges dude. The F-22 is more of an air to air interceptor while the Lightning II is more of an air superiority fighter/strike aricraft. Also we stripped down a lot of the avionics and other equipment since we are sharing the F-35 with our allies. There is a strict ban on selling ANY F-22 technology to anyone. They are both really nice though.

M68A1 105 mm has a accurate range of 3000 meters, while the T-90 has accurate range of up to 8000 meters.

Dude I hate to break it to you but Sweden doesn't have anything larger than a Corvette in its navy. I grant you the Visby class is stealthy and high tech and all, but it just doesn't stack up against cruisers and aircraft carriers.
As far as the air force, the USA is currently the only country with Generation 5 fighters in service - and that counts for a lot.
But the ground forces thing definitely does belong to China or Russia. That I agree on.

The United states military needs air superiority. Air superiority is a decisive factor which lead to the defeat of Japan and Germany in WWII. The United States Military is unlikely to encounter a war like the one in Iraq again for a long time. Our military needs to retain its conventional warfare roots, all other factors are secondary. NATOs military spending is 20x that of China or Russia and 166x that of Iran. None of these are threats in a conventional war.

The first F-15C was built 30 years ago. Machines don't last forever, especially ones subjected to the rigors of air combat. The F-15 & F-16 fleet is nearing (and in some cases has already surpassed) their life expectancy. They can't fly forever.

It's hard to compare this to other fighters. It CAN dogfight, it DOES carry a gun for short range air to air, but primarily this is a missile boat, acquiring lock and firing from distances greater than most/any other craft can detect presence of threat. Im sure theres a fighter or two that may win in the short range dogfight. But with range, stealth and speed in favor of the raptor, that would be a RARE scenario.

War with China or Russia =/= Nuclear warfare. This isn't the Cold War anymore. In fact it would be very important to have the F-22 in a conflict with Russia or China. If the war were to escalate gradually, air superiority could allow the use of the Airborne Laser to ensure that a nuclear exchange never took place. Russia is building their next fighter, USA has to keep up.
Also, keep in mind Russia exports a LOT of aircraft, and the current Su-27 is already good enough to win against the F-15.

Idiot. And what do you do about the enemy's radar and missles? Make better radar and missles? You could put all the same avionics and weaponry on the F-16 as the F-22, and you'd still have the same threats that are making the F-16 less viable.
As much as you would like to think it, pilot training isn't going to change the physical characteristics of an aircraft. You cannot make an F-16 outmaneuver an Su-35 with just slapping on some more training.
