I was Bodhi for Halloween three years ago. I had a blonde wig, ripped and burned tuxedo, hand cuffs and a gun. I love this video.

@jasonsalierno I tried to get a couple friends to go as the ex-presidents a few years back, it would have been the perfect costume to go as in a group. They said nobody would know who we were....I think the must be retarded.....Point Break is a classic.

@jrunberg I think you should get your buddies together for Halloween. Most people didn’t recognize my costume as “Bodhi”, but once I explained who Bodhi was, everyone knew ‘Point Break’ was the movie! Rather than ruin a tuxedo like I did, you can all dress up as surfers (tank tops, board shorts, blonde wigs) and just put the 4 ex-president masks on… and carry around small fake surfboards.

@jasonsalierno Yeah, man..that would be sweet. Most of the best Halloween costumes I have seen at parties have been from the 80's and early 90's movies. I've seen Cobra Kai's, Daniel Son, Rambo..the list goes on and on. I went one year as the T-1000 in cop uniform, using aluminum foil for bullet holes...lol.

I just watched this movie today...it's one of my favorites that I never get tired of. I loved his movies...he played them so well. I'll bet he had a ton of fun skydiving and learning to surf for this movie, as well. Though I don't think :48 is Patrick...in the clear version of the movie that I have, it looks like an actor that they didn't even bother to try to 'mask' the face of that well. Great movie, either way. You'll be missed, Patrick!

this film came out at the right time for me a went through a messy break up, lost confidence generally feeling miserble but this film just opened a window for me to realise that i was not dead yet that life can be really beautiful it made skydive for the first time ( i know it's supposed to be a surf movie of sorts) life changing movie and amazing soundtrack

My Favorite film! Its been so long since this came out, and this film brings back so many memories for me back in the early 90's, good times. No other film relates to me as much as this film, this movie has spirit, and it represents living life and enjoying and respecting the beauty of mother earth. When I see this, I realize how short life really is and what Beauty God has created. God Bless you Patrick, someday we will be surfing together when I come home, I'll see you brother!

Thats true. This song went so well with it, I just like the clip alot, when Tyler says "thats Bodie, they call him the Bodisatva" Best movie hands down. Patricks character almost made me want to rob a bank with him, but I did start surfing and still do to this day.

I saw this movie in my childhood and it stayed on my mind for ever.

When i turned 17, i saw it again, picked-up a surfboard and hit the beach.

The character Patrick Swayze played was so convincing and well played and the movie was so full of lessons....that it had a liberating effect on me.

I'm sure he's up there looking down on me and asking "Still surfing?", and I smile and say "Every day".

That's Matt Archbold who did the Surfing you see here. An UNBELEIVABLE SURFER from San Clemente. ( Dino Andino also of San Clemente did a few Surf Scenes in the beginning of the film.
