@TheSillybookworm I know what you mean, I too am in love with this ballet from start to finish. Never got tired of watching it again and again. Thanks for the upload. I believe that the Arts enrich our lives,
Everything is splendid! Even the fact that music is the canonic Tschaikowski version, without innovations and inprovisations. Svetlana and Roberto are possibly the most handsome dancers I've ever seen. A very precise conductor also. Bravo!!!
Simplemente es increible la interpretación que hacen Svetlana Zakharova y Roberto Bolle del Lago de los Cisnes de Tchaikovsky, revolucionario de la musica igual que Bethoven en su tiempo.
@pydo7 If you watch this performance in its entirety the gesture cannot be overlooked. Aside from Svetlana and Roberto, at the end of their performance the gesture receives the highest applause from the audience - his agility and poise are unmatched!
Svetlana Zakharova is the greatest prima ballerina ever... She has perfect feet, extensions, musicality, grace, emotion, and technique. She is the queen of ballet and nobody will ever be better...absolutely flawless!
Wow, what can I say, such beauty, she moves like an angle.. I'm a big fan of Evgenia Obratsova too, but I must say Svetlana does it better in Swan Lake.... I can watch her dance all day!!! And I love the dance of the swans, wish that was longer!!! :)
Thus far, this is the best rendition I have seen of swan lake via youtube, all aspects of it are simply delightful. If a better one exists please inform.
what a stupid ending. Seigfreid should have died in the water. I mean it's a flood right, where the heck did the water go? and Rothbart is a powerful magician that can turn people into animals, and seigfreid just wrestled him to death? just stick with the classical ending. beautiful production though.
@AfricanTrekker he's great. He just happens to look like some kind of evil villian from a movie or comic book, actually he kind of looks like Lex Luthor now that i think about it.
Isn't the part of the black swan lacking in two or three "pas de deux" and especially "the tale of Odile"? Or am I that I can not find it, despite having watched it more than once? How is it possible? I find it impossible that there isn't the tail of Odile in a so important and impressive production!
@theamazingsoter : thanks for your answer (although it is actually a question :-] )! The error is mine: I explained badly. I thought that the correct translation would be "tale of Odile" when in reality it is "Odile's coda." So I rephrase the question: I can not find the "Odile's coda" in this video; are you able to find it?
@EttaChicca Oh, okay. This production of Swan Lake uses a different Black Swan coda which starts @1:41:10 This is the original 1877 coda, the other one was first used by Petipa in his revised Swan Lake in 1895. Most companies use the coda you're looking for: the Mariinsky, Bolshoi, Paris Opera Ballet, Royal Ballet, ABT, etc. you can find it in a lot of videos of the Black Swan Pas de deux.
It's so great, I admire Russian ppl, they always strive for the best no matter what they do. Their accomplishments have out performed all White ppl in the world if compare 1 on 1 with other European nations..
Me emociona profundamente ver y escuchar ésta obra maestra del Gran Tchaikovsky! además con el extraordinario talento de Светлана y Roberto, la excelente actuación del grupo de ballet y una magnífica ejecución de la orquesta, estupendo!!!
What a chance to se this...THANK YOU!!!

I have been watching Swan Lake by various performers for almost forty years, and this is one of the best that I have ever seen.
The prima ballerinas talent in this one goes without saying.
But just hang on a minute, what about the utterly brilliant and outstanding performance by the person playing the Jester.
I think that this role is almost always overlooked by way of the amount of talent and agility, not to mention timing, that this role demands.
Lets hear it for the Jester here.
Brava.
