Very nice apps, especially MacTracker. I personally love Pixelmator (very advanced and easy to use image editor) and Trine (a gorgeous physics based adventure game).
I know you mentioned it would have to wait for a different time, but can you please make a video showing not only the weather but other GeekTool scripts?
i'm just waiting for u to review that Final Cut X when it's released. Would love to see your quick tips on that. Us iMovie buff are still in the dark ages.
I love Mactracker! Been using it for years! It's great when you're trying to reference an old machine and want to double check the specs. It's also great if you want to see how Apple's products progress over time. The graphical renderings of the products are so pretty and slick looking too :) I love the idea of Dateline though... never heard of it! Definitely going to have to check that out!
justnotes is awesome! its free and its accessible from the topbar, and if you press on it, then a window shows up where u can write notes in. You could also organize your notes into different topics and long story short, its free, easy, and much much better than stickies!
Mixxxer is pretty cool. I mostly use it for messing around with tracks in my library, as you can change the pitch and speed of different songs. I mostly do it for comedic effect, but hey, it's still free.
This is exactly what i've been waiting for! The only ones I had seen prior to this involved only free apps that everyone has already known of for years. I knew about MacTracker and DaisyDisk but not Dateline.
@MattsMacintosh Try BetterTouchTool, it's actually a better app that not only allows you functionality akin to the Windows 7 resizing of windows, but also allows customization of trackpad & magic mouse commands (example: three finger tap enables opening items in new windows). Best app I ever downloaded and it's free :-) Not on the Mac App store though so ya gotta Google the name to download.
I got mactracker a few months ago and i searched the quicktake because i had no idea what it was. I stumbled upon your video and spent the rest of of the day watching all of your videos! Easiest subscription I ever made!

Here's an interesting question for you Matt: Do you think in Windows 8 there will be a universal software marketplace/ app store integrated?
0ChrisJones0 9 months ago
@0ChrisJones0 Maybe. I don't think it would be a bad idea since OS X and Linux already have one.
MattsMacintosh 9 months ago 5
@MattsMacintosh Linux has many, but most of the software is free, and a lot of the software-getting programs are quite limited.
