You might ask why we have our huge GDP. Many other countries have as many natural resources. Most are much older and have had plenty of time to get ahead of us. Many have had empires (such as your England) to amass wealth. When we came over to help save you During WWI, WWII, and the Cold War we did not set up empires. We were only interested in keeping you free. What would the Germans or Russia have done? We have been foremost (but not perfect) in promoting free trade.
