I think the problem is kid's having parents that force Christianity and what have you upon them. A Satanist accepts anyone with different beliefs, we understand that everyone is and should be their own individual. I think this world would be a much better place if everyone could simply accept others' differences. In a light one could say we are definitely devolving, but on the other hand one could just as easily say we're progressing. It's another "cup is half full/empty scenario."
It's not a literal god like Osiris, Yahweh, Thor etc., just a metaphor like Satan is for Satanism. It's all about the carnal aspects of life. I simply looked in it to it out of pure curiosity and found that I was already living the way a Satanist does, for the most part. I don't think any religion will ever capture someone's belief system exactly, but I view Satanism as a broad philosophy. I very simply live with an open mind, and do what makes me happy without hurting another.
1. Our "moral code" is basically a form of the golden rule, "treat others how they treat you." Obviously we treat others with respect at first. Love who you chose; race, color, ethnicity, etc. doesn't matter. If you negatively affect society you should reap your punishment. In essence, Satanism is a carnal religion about "worshiping" yourself. You are your own individual, your own god. Everyone has their own opinions.
We bash every religion, Christianity is just the most predominant and worth more of our efforts. We're against any religion that tells you what to and what not to do. I think the problem is kid's having parents that force Christianity and what have you upon them. A Satanist accepts anyone with different beliefs, we understand that everyone is and should be their own individual. I think this world would be a much better place if everyone could simply accept others' differences. In a light one could say we are definitely devolving, but on the other hand one could just as easily say we're progressing. It's another "cup is half full/empty scenario."

It's not a literal god like Osiris, Yahweh, Thor etc., just a metaphor like Satan is for Satanism. It's all about the carnal aspects of life. I simply looked in it to it out of pure curiosity and found that I was already living the way a Satanist does, for the most part. I don't think any religion will ever capture someone's belief system exactly, but I view Satanism as a broad philosophy. I very simply live with an open mind, and do what makes me happy without hurting another.

1. Our "moral code" is basically a form of the golden rule, "treat others how they treat you." Obviously we treat others with respect at first. Love who you chose; race, color, ethnicity, etc. doesn't matter. If you negatively affect society you should reap your punishment. You people claim to be atheists but this is what I don't understand. Did you know that Lavey actually prayed to Satan on one occasion hoping that he would heal a wounded child of his friend Jane Mansfield? Isn't this hypocritical?
I'm surprised such incompatible beliefs haven't forced LaVeyan Satanists to re-examine faith.

First off, there's been a lot of false claims about LaVey after he died. It's also been said that he renounced Satanism on his death bed, which is utter bullshit.
So I don't believe he prayed to Satan. I'd have so see some evidence to confirm that.
Now, IF he actually was secretly worshipping Satan, it wouldn't change much for me. I agree with what LaVey preached, how he lived is little importance.
Further more, Satanism was around long before LaVey. He's really not that important.

Theistic "Satanism" is actually very new. There's never been groups of people worshipping the Devil in large numbers before.
As for true Satanism, that's pretty much the oldest religion ever. In every society, since the beginning of time, there have been self-worshippers and followers of the left hand path. The only thing new about Satanism is the name.

No, Satanism is the worship of the self. The actual worshipping of Satan is a fairly recent religion.
Also, there are many self-styled Satanists out there. Personally, I respect Anton LaVey, but I am not a LaVeyan.

The fact that LaVayan Satanists are atheists means that they wouldn't actually ask Satan for anything because they don't believe Satan exists. He clearly did and therefore is a hypocrite.

They use the name Satan for THEATRICAL reasons. they dont believe in the bible, they used the hebrew word for adversary, cause their religion is literally the adversary to all other religions who believe in afterlife.

Therefore they are capable of feeding people absolute LIES without any quarries. The big LIE that many Satanists preach are they they don't actually worship an entity and they don't sacrifice humans and animals. Because like David Gilmore said, they believe in living a free and unintruded life, and thus are willing to keep secrets which might otherwise land them in prosecution by the masses.
