yeah to make that sound u need to mute, u just have to place your hand on the bridge of your guitar, you have to find the wright position on the bridge. If its too much to the strings it will compleatly mute it, if its too much back it will not make a difference!!!And on the amp but the gain to about 10(5 o clock) (max) and tone to 4(7 o clock) !!!

he's playing A10-A7 D10-D7 in the first riff and most ppl that are saying that it's wrong is probably playing D5-A7 G5-D7

both ways are consisting the same notes

G-E C-A .. so if you play them you'll notice that both ways sound pretty much same ..

however atleast according to my eyes if you watch Metallica play this live at pinkpop -08 it looks alot to me like they're playing D5-A7 G5-D7 .. just saying

Im playing this song nicely using my ring finger instead of the little finger, the first time it is requested.

When playing standing up, its hardere to get with the little finger at the 5th, 6th string, is it ok not to use the little finger in the higher strings or shall i learn and try to develop it?
