  • wow A FUCKING 302 that almost does a wheelie!

  • I was wrong,not a 301 but a 303.

    1969 ramairV 8000rpm only around 250 made.

  • Didnt pontiac build a 301 for the 69 trans am?

cant find nothing about this motor

  • yes 301 american block

  • Awesome car, man. The smallblock/4-speed combo is the coolest in all of NHRA in my opinion. I see you're running cal tracs (well, more or less every stocker does I guess), yet you seem to spin the tires pretty good. Was the track bad or do you want it to spin that much?

  • This guy needs to learn how to hold the steering wheel straight.

  • the chevy 302 was produced to comply with the SCCA rules. the 302 was designed that way from the factory, no changes were internally made after race teams received the cars. and there were two different set ups for those cars. they came in either a winters hi rise aluminum intake with a holley or the most sought after set up which came with a winters cross-ram intake with two holley carbs and a teardrop air cleaner and also came with a fiberglass hood that would work with the cross-ram setup.

  • @01dSk00L

sorry, you are wrong, a destroked motor is one in which the factory configuration has the stroke shortened. this was once popular in nascar to build engines with higher rpm range, no one is comparing it to a ford 302, which incidently , had a 3 inch stroke, exactly the same as the chev 302, and the same bore, to comply with Trans Am class rules.

  • Ok dumbasses, which is what all of you are. I took that info straight off of the Wiki page, correlated with SCCA and NCOA (National Camaro Owners of America) Get YOUR facts str8, ass-clowns. Oh, and btw, I was 5 when these cars were made, so shove that "kid' comment up your ass.

  • @01dSk00L

it is not destroked, that is exactly the way it was made.

  • Damn!!!

  • Needs a longer burnout then it will see about 3 tenths faster ET!

  • is a 302 smaller than a 305? is a 305 worth fixing up...?

  • @MrJumpman91 a 302 is a ford motor. a 305 is a chevy motor. same thing just they can't copy each other. i'm glad somebody had the brains to put a ford motor in a chevy car.

  • @rouletteroller yes Ford has a 302. GM also built a 302, it was put in some 69 Z28s. and if someone put a Ford motor in a Chevy they'd have NO BRAINS.

  • @rouletteroller chevy did not produce a 302..they produced a 305 only. and chevys are all around junk. gm needs to just hang it up.

  • @rouletteroller Chevrolet produced the 302 small block in 1967,68and 69 and it was only availible in the Z/28 do an little research before proving youself a fool.

  • @rouletteroller wow ...the only good 302 ever produced was in a chevy...chevys are junk?...thats why every1 is swapping out their chevy engines and putting in a ford one..o thats right no1 is dumb enough to do that...thats why every one is taking out the cummins and putting in a powerstroke......o wait. no one does that either

  • @rouletteroller wrong!!! do some research, they did make 302s, why does my neighbor have a MATCHING NUMBERS 69 z28 302???

  • @rouletteroller lol. i think you better hang it up. 5 minutes on your computer will make you realize how much you really do not know about GM.

  • @Chevypower265 Are you retarded or what?? Chevy didn't sell Ford a 302... the Ford 302 is a direct descendent of the Ford Windsor series engines from 1962! Here, wiki it for yourself...

  • Comment removed

  • @rouletteroller OMG, and it's an engine NOT a moter. Yes Virgina, Chevrolet really did produce a 302

  • @MrJumpman91 A Chevy 302 is about 3 times the engine a 305 is. Although, you can add parts to the 305 to make it just as tough. The Chevy 302 naturally aspirated was a raw little revving beast. Capable of 7,000RPMS from the factory.

  • 10.8

    Dang

  • Friggen well done man, wicked!!!

If we're talking race car, all values and equations are consistent. If it's a a street / strip type car, then there are always compromises and the true ET potential is very difficult to meet against the MPH. Power adders will alter everything.

I have been #1 qualifier in NHRA Stock Eliminator, Class winner in both Stock & Super Stock and numerous National records. I'm not here to brag, I would like you to understand that there is a lot of ET left on the table with your car.

  • @superstockamx

    talking internet shit now!

  • Bootman2K -

Your MPH of 133.9 MPH should be a 9.86 ET. I had a race car previously that ran similar MPH. It's best was 133.66. 1320/133.66 = 9.88 ET. My best ET was 9.93 or .05 slower than optimum. As the car was not NHRA certified to run faster than 10.00, I didn't try any improvements to lower the ET.

If you have the wrong gear, like not enough, the true MPH potential will not be met because you will not run at near or peak HP in high gear.

  • Bootman 2K

Clutch: there may be things like a driver jerking the wheel while shifting or many other factors. But this car is spinning the tires on gear change which can cause it to move around. I can tell by listening to the launch there is too much base pressure and / or too heavy a clutch assembly and it's pulling the engine down too much. These same issues will cause the suspension to react violently and cause the tires to spin & car to move around. But yes, there can be other factors.

  • @superstockamx

    he missed 2nd gear moron.

  • Bootman2K -

Answer: HP makes MPH. That's it. MPH is is measured over a known distance and it taxes "x" amount of HP to make a certain MPH. The equation I use is 1320 / MPH = optimum ET. Optimum is the key word as there are variables that will alter the ET. But if you have a poor fuel system, for instance, you will make less HP and less ET that a properly running fuel system. Gearing will affect ET but gearing if too steep, will kill MPH as the HP is out of breath.

  • he should just go drift if his going to run his program like that

  • Air Flow Research.....nuff said.

  • sweet ride!! they ask you to put in a roll bar yet?

  • NICE!!

  • What size wheels and tires are you running on the back?

  • Too much clutch. You can tell by the amount it pulls the engine down on the launch. Also looks like too much clutch is causing wheel spin on gear changes, that's at least one reason why it doesn't run straight down the track. 125.8 MPH and you should be in the 10.40's, not 10.80's.

  • @superstockamx Theres a number of reasons it may not be running straight down the track and the clutch isn't necessarily it. Also, how can you judge what ET he should be running from that MPH? So if it runs a 10.80 with a 4.88 gear it's going to run the same MPH at a 10.80 with a 3.73 or 4.10 gear? No it's not. 10.40's at only 125.8 MPH? Really? I ran a 10.29 @133.9MPH in my Camaro. If i go by your theory i should have only been in the high 128MPh range.

  • gay new camaro's gonna get spankd

  • nice

  • perfection

  • Man that fucker screams!!!

  • what gear are you doing your burnout in? The tires are barely turning and don't smoke at all, probably why you spin so much with slicks.

  • Check out the MacNeish D/Stocker! NHRA National Record Holder. 1967 Z28 Camaro.

10.45 with stock engine and NHRA tear down.

    CB

  • Type in jerry macneish, his 1967 Z28 is the NHRA national record holder running 10.45.

  • whatcha runnnig for a cam?

  • what cam you running and heads

  • im looking into a g-force tranny for my chevelle. How do you like yours?

  • she was gettin a little loose bout half track!

  • runs beautiful

  • i just came! i love camaros man

  • stick cars rule!

  • damn all that spinning and going out of the groove and still ran a 10.8 I want 1 so bad but I love my 01 z28 ;-)

  • those cal tracs hook up good

  • _DREAM_CAR!

  • I am really loving this 'maro. Is it naturally aspirated, or are you spraying??? full interior? and what AFR heads you running- and @ .050 duration / lsa on the cam?

    Thanks and God Bless.

  • NICE CAR ! My favorite chevy ;69 camaro eve though i am a blue oval man !

  • Lots of wheel spin

  • Awesome! I wish my 4 speed 57 Chevy ran that strong.

  • What clutch ?? a Soft loc McLeod ? you have a alum. f/w ? Thanks Da Blue Oval Boys.....

  • I know your engine has AFR's on it. But do you happen to know what the port volume is on the original 186 heads? I have been told 170 to 180 cc. :)

  • i run my 283 bored .125 which is basically a 302 used to call em 301's in the old days 12.50's-12-60's with 2.1 60 foot times. no traction.

  • Are you running trac bars, cal tracs...?

  • tubbed w/ 12 bolt chevy 4:88's art morrision coil overs and ladder bars but no slicks yet. ive got a set 5:13's and a 4 speed i need to put in. right now im running a t-350. automatic behind a stick motor just dont work!

  • Ok come on, tell te truth... Thats no 302 right? LOL.. I sure wish my Daytona Yellow 69 Z/28 ran like that. Great job!!

  • Ya it's a little motor. Just not stock. Big roller cam, alum. heads, etc..... This run we had too much static pressure in the new clutch set up. Spun tire's bad on the line. 6800 rpm launch, shift between 8000-8200
