@zupar100 ive played MMOs for more then 7 years now, and every good mmo has a ranged character (Hunters, squig herders w/e game people play) but with all these class progression trailers ive seen people rolling into cover and shooting explosive barrels and shit you would do in a first and 3rd person shooter. so when i see cover based shootingand all that stuff, that doesnt really scream MMO to me

@golddrive80 Was in the Beta, if you like mmorpg , you'll love this game. The "quests" unlike wow have cut scenes, what you do in the quest effects the development of your character (Jedi can do evil, sith can cut someone a break ect) Didn't get a chance to try the space combat, but the game is impressive. Got into next beta test this weekend coming up too, cant wait till the 15th and game goes live

2-immunity from both sides since I do whatever whenever for whoever

3-I get to piss people off while getting my credits(money)

@Yargasblarg1 How would you do that? force gripping me while giving me the advantage of leaving yourself open for me to fire my blaster pistol of course. you deflect but I can jetpack you pull me down I'll shoot my wrst rockets and you'll evade while moving closer I'll use my flamethrower then you force push I'll hit the wall and fall to my knees while you jump in front of me when I use my stun dart to stop you from striking me down but then as you try to move I'll freeze you with carbonite.

@tejimun This is a situation where gameplay trumps story. They have to keep the game balance and the class that is most balanced against the trooper is the Bounty hunter. Plus creating a third/neutral faction for just bounty hunters/smugglers would make balancing the gameplay a complete nightmare

@Gthang213 I do agree with you but in a way as a respectable perso to the bounty hunters in star wars lore it would have done a bit more favor if bounty hunters had some missions from the republic but were on the empire, I'm not saying double crossers but I'm saying like lvl 50 -75 or something a few republic missions wouldnt hurt the bounty hunter for credits, remember BH worked on all sides for the right pay

@tejimun Well there is no lvl 50-70 max level is at 50. :D I will say this, while there are not missions that aid the republic, there are some missions that where the choice you make can go against the wishes of the empire.

Bounty hunter , sith warrior, Jedi knight , and commando's all have a tanking spec, looks like there are a lot of healing specs for the different classes, and I would suspect the game play to be very similar to wow and other MMOs with possibly a more involved story line

@ColdTristan honestly almost all of the classes can perform those roles, Each class has something called an advanced class which is gained at level 10, each class has 2, and each advanced class has 3 talent trees, only 2 classes i think won't be able to fulfill every role, smuggler and imperial agent can only be dps or healers, and jeid knights and sith warriors can only be dps or tanks i think, the other classes, trooper, jedi consular, bounty hunter, and sith inquisitor can perform any role

@GiygasTheUnbound The fact that they're only releasing this for Windows tells me that they're already going to have a hard time competing for subscribers, especially because graphics requirements will be higher.

But then again I don't want 11 million+ mouth-breathing butt-monkeys playing on my server who don't even know how to stay out of fire on boss fights and spam trade chats all day.

Since I'm going to be getting Windows 7 soon anyway, it'll be interesting to see how this goes.

So, when i was younger, my uncle would always play final fantacy, and during every battle or fight, he had to take turns attacking or defending with enemys. kinda like pokemon gameboy games.

Yeah, i play Battlefield BC2 almost exclusively.

So, if your primary interest is shooters, and you liked the game, ill trust giving it a try. Spike has been playing all six films lately, which i watched all of, and its peaked my interest in weilding a saber on the ps3. hahah.
