  • This is still on the schedule to be recorded in the future. Watch for it!

  • Please please PLEASE put this on the next album.

  • Mixing in Earth, Wind, and Fire at the end like that was BRILLIANT! Good stuff.

  • I lovded this game so much I ended up ordering a copy from the U.S cause I don't think we got it in aus and if we did I never seen it. The way they play the song is perfect awesome job awesome song awesome game awesome =)

  • Chrono Trigger has to have, hands down, the most beautiful music score of any video game ever. They really broke the mold with this game. I seriously dont think this game would have the incredible recognition or staying power it has without its soundtrack. If it had a plain jane soundtrack the game probably would have fallen into obscurity.

  • WOW, that was VEERY good!! Loved it

  • god damn i need this in my life .... you guys need to gear up in a studio and get to work ... no programmed instruments i want it live and raw just like this .. that break at 3:26 is EPIC!!! i need that lol ...

  • I'm impressed

  • That Sax dude's the most talented in this group if you'd have to ask me.

  • So awsome! How dare those people talk when such music is playing :-(

  • Hello guys!! I checked your site, and I didn´t find anything on Vol. 3! Do you guys have aby idea when it may possibly launch??

  • @Lupinthe64th It'll be a while. We just released a new album though. Another one coming in July.

  • @TheOneUps Oh thank you very much for answering!! But will it have new songs (I mean, will it contain songs that you guys will learn to play soon), or will it be remakes of previously recorded songs?

  • This is especially moving considering that it's Mustin's all time favorite video game track, and you can see him playing those opening notes with such heart and delicate care

  • Sax part on this is brilliant, just brilliant! Especially in the cut time section, oh baby!

  • This is beautiful. Really hoping this makes the third volume.

  • omg....im so in love with this.

  • Damn it... I wish this were MY local band. I would see them every chance I got. So fantastic.

  • 4:38

  • @ProuteurFou

    In response to your 4:38

    I will say only this

    00:01

    :) It's ALL good.

  • this is amazing... much respect for all of you.

  • Come play at my school. Or my house. Or my room. Whichever you prefer.

  • So, are you guys releasing the SMK or Volume 3 first?

  • @Nessthegreat Super Mario Kart Album comes out this month!

  • very good I just wish the audience would stfu in the background

  • when i first started getting into collecting rpg music, i got a 13 minute .midi version of this song and would sleep to my collection of songs playing, when the 13 min version would come on, i would fall asleep. everytime i would wake up with this song in my head!

  • @stridren man could you link me to that version? or send me a PM and ill give you my email for you to send it tome, if you still have it of course...

  • @sidgallup

i dont have it any longer but, almost any midi site should have it or at least a similar version of it, if you would like though i got a couple realy cool (realy long) final fantasy midi compilation songs, put together rather well too imo!

  • great

  • you guys are awesome .. *thumbs up*

  • One of my favorite all time songs from a video game soundtrack... LOVE the bass line

  • At 0:44 I would've literally started yelling "YEAHHH!!".

Love it guys. Wish the crowd would feel the waves of childhood nostalgia that can transfix one on a series of notes...

  • 5 :22 Sax Melody = September By: Earth, Wind, & Fire :p

  • I noticed that too. =p

  • I've never played this game before.. but think this is beautiful.

  • The music in the game is an awesome compliment to the game itself. If you like games like old time Final Fantasy games, you'll probably love this game.

  • Comment removed

  • sax man - you are the sickness. 1up

  • ¡Genial!

  • wow great arrangement in sax.. the violin is a lil bit off tune tho-

  • lol ive always wanted to transpose vid game music to on stage and see how many vid game nerds there were in the audience lol

  • stfu! good game music is just as good as 'normal music', and is listened to by gamers and non-gamers, FYI!

  • oneups rock!!

    love the sax..! :)

  • Damn...I can't wait forever...for Volume 3...

  • the violin kind of ruined it... noticeably out of tune at times.

the sax should have just played the violin's parts

  • I really like the arrangement. Especially the for the Sax. It especially helps since the guy on the Sax can play really well.

The part at 4:37, the bridge I believe it is called, is really well done as well.

  • This was probably my second favorite song from the game, and you guys did a killer cover of it.

  • I Found This On Accident And i Love it

    *****

  • i wish i could play piano JUST so i could play this song.

  • Chrono!!;)

  • =D

But I still like Guido's remix better, at least for now. I guess I'll have to wait for Volume 3....argh.

  • I love this

  • these guys are a great sound

  • Cool, i didn't realize you guys played this one. We just finished our version of this tune for our second album (not trying to copy you guys with tune selection, but you pick awesome tunes) Anyway, i'm looking forward to hearing the album cut.

  • Speaking of Volume 3...is there a release date on that one?

  • I dont see this on the track listing for volume 2 either!?!? WHY AGAIN!?!?

  • 'Cause it's going to be on Volume 3 ;)

  • Yasunori Mitsuda is such a legend.

  • He is, and it sucks that he's overshadowed by Nobuo Uematsu. Now, don't get me wrong, Nobuo is a musical genius as well, but Yasunori Mitsuda made the Chrono Trigger soundtrack PERFECT. There wasn't a single song I didn't like, nor a single song that was out of place.

  • Mitsuda put so much work into the OST for CT, that he got sick and needed UEMATSU to finish it. While I agree that Mitsuda is crimanally overlooked, Uematsu is better than him. The work he did for the FF series just speaks for itself. But CT has a soundtrack on par with if not better than the best of them. And this song among others is proof of Mitsuda's genious

  • Just about all of the Square composers are overshadowed by Nobuo, with good reason though but that isn't to say they're not great either. Look at Kumi Tanioka, one of the few female composers around and she's overshadowed, as well as Naoshi Mizuta, he's done an excellent job with Final Fantasy XI's soundtrack (Kumi did as well) check my channel for some of the great songs they've done for it (if you don't play FFXI)

  • @JaundiceJaun I don't see how Mitsuda is overshadowed by Nobuo. If he was, then that shit stopped the second Xenogears dropped. On the strength of those two games alone imo he is better. I'd go as far as saying Sakimoto and Iwata are better, and I only know them for scoring the 2nd best RPG ever in Tactics.

  • @IronPimp808

I will only say this in response: Chrono Trigger has quite possibly the best soundtrack of any video game. :)

  • @IronPimp808 - jesus, I couldnt agree more. Sakimoto and Mitsuda are my absolute fav composers, and they completely blow nobuo's work away. Seriously, the only Final Fantasy Soundtrack that even compares to Chrono Trigger or Final Fantasy Tactics is Final Fantasy 7. Its the ONLY game where Nobuo's work stood out imo.

  • @skins4thewin I actually liked ff9. I don't actually know why, its by no means sophisticated! I absolutely loved the title screen. All pied pipery lol.

  • @fionamb83 - thats the one FF game I didnt play all the way through, because I ended up hating it once the ability system showed its ugly face. I absolutely DESPISED having to learn the abilities thru the items, simply because of the way the item availability was made. So admittedly it is the one game that I didnt get to really hear the soundtrack to. If it really is good I may have to go check the soundtrack out at least.

I also happen to be one of those strange ppl who loved FF8.

  • Amazing and fantastic. You completely gave a new soul to this song. Great job guys.

  • Amazing! One of my most favorite songs from a game and video game!

  • I like the the break down at 3:27. So niice!

  • So many memories come back with only listen this song...like the name of the perhaps greatest RPG of all time say it,"Its a Chrono Trigger",the game and its music, good cover.

  • I hope this appears on their next album. Secret of the Forest is such an amazing song and hearing the Oneups perform it is nothing but pure bliss.

  • Pianist looks like Bill Gates.

Whoever likes this game and music should have a nice taste for games, or even the music.

I remember when I had CT, spent hours to clear the black omen.

    Oh, the old times.

  • This music is fantastic and is in nice taste. The game is also really fantastic too. The Black Omen was pretty challenging too.

  • Very nice. Tighten it up a bit and you've got one awesome cover of a great song.

  • Wonderfully Done!!

  • So i am in love with your sax player

  • Memories of Green used to be my favorite, now it's this one. I love playing it on piano. It's so moving...

  • Truly talented.

  • I normally don't comment videos, but that was freaking awesome.

  • 4:54... always makes me tingle.

  • One of the most underrated songs in Chrono Trigger. I love playing the bass line to this.

  • under rated is totally right. love this song

  • Thanks for recognizing this wonderful tune.

  • Gosh..what can I say, SUPERBLY DONE !!!

  • best youtube video ever

  • great!

    Please come to Japan!

  • Amazing!

  • I kid you not, I cried. WOnderful.
