This is the type of stuff you dont need a teacher for, super primitive learning, 2K classes lol, just download the pdf of "animation survival kit", learn without paying a cent. instead teach yurself the japanese way. programs you can download for free or buy cheap online. photoshop, premiere pro, adobe flash/after effects, toonboom, flipbook pro, pencil and paper. almost every top rate artist, drop out of school or never even attend. Lesean Thomas - boondocks, etc.
I miss coursing animation! I remember when I first went to animation class, they told us to animate the same exact thing, the bouncing ball then next is the shadowing stuffs and whoa it took us like 2 months before we can touch computer. Right now, I could animate better XD
they show you how to animate but after capturing all the drawings what software or programs did they load into on the computer to view it like what was it flash

Why would you have to Draw it on paper first to learn that..? You could just draw 1 frame, copy or move it then change the last few when it hits the ground..on a computer just the same only 90000 x faster.
Most film houses would take a well versed 2D animator and teach them the software over a good computer animator. Drawing teaches you the basic principles of animation without the "help" of the computer. Not that I'm in any way knocking the computer guys.. (heck, I am one)
I worked with Kathy at Full Sail a few years ago. She is a genuinely excellent person and really knows her stuff. Wish she had been my instructor back in my early days...
cause traditional animation can have you feel more, and more fun than stupid cut and paste. look at my stuff all paper animation ......and the key to a good film is not the work thats in it, but how much fun and effort you put in it :)
because the key to becoming a good animator is mastering the basics, traditional drawing allows you to see motion differently than clicking two keys on a computer :)
wow, what a nice instructor, wish she was my 2D instructor... I go to art institute of pittsburgh in the animation program. And the 2D instructor there is such a bitch and makes you feel 2 inches tall in everything you do
I just like frame by frame in general. No matter on paper or pc (or mac which i am using,)
