@Hashpotato This flick has some pretty explicite and decent gory parts too,.. . with people graphicaly exploding, a crew of bloody pulps on a drifting cargo boat and a guy being eaten by this really ridiculous one-eyed giant plant-like monster called "The Cyclopse" and shit! It's really much more funny than scarry though .
There is an old S-F horror movie where a group of students go on a expedition to a cave and a never unseen creature kills one by one, at the end there is only one survivor, but when he escapes to the city, he realizes that there are no people anywhere. Do you know the name of this one, I have been looking for it since for a long
mmm, well, my father saw this in the late 70's, oh I remember, one of the scenes in a beach shows a little girl crying and when the mother arrives, her daughter turns to her mom and the girl has "something" like a starfish in her face (similar to those parasites in alien series)
@normandusvang It sounds like you're talking about "Alien 2: On Earth", also named "Sulla Terra" or "Alien Terror" from 1980, cheap but pretty creepy little B-movie! It turns up as bootlegs on Ebay every once in a while, I don't know if there's any DVD release of it yet.
Just added this baby to my horror movie collection. I LOVE these films. You just can't beat the amazing, early 80's cheese!
Everyone of these Italian horror films from the early 80's have amazing soundtracks. The soundtrack is worth the price alone, and you get a brilliantly bad film to boot. I can't wait for this film to arrive!
Even though this movie is crap it was highly enjoyable though. I mean I've seen alot more worse even in todays movies. Recent movies that has been highly praised by the media that is.
People give ALIEN wayyyyyy too much credit. Cuz if we want to get picky here, ALIEN stole from SHIVERS, a Cronenberg flick that came out FOUR YEARS BEFORE ALIEN.
Why hasn't anyone posted Cozzi's "The Killer Must Kill Again" (1975)? An absoultely brilliant piece of work! God I love good early 80's Italian cheesy horror flicks. This is brilliant!
I just checked at Amazon dot com. Just enter alien contamination in the search box, and it'll show you several instances of the movie being sold. I saw one for about $4+. If you only want the one movie, I'd suggest that route.
LOL. I still remember the Saturday matinees at the movies, and see the great movie posters for movies like the Angry Red Planet, and go see them. I'd also watch TV shows like Elvira, and love watching the movies she would show. Ah, those were the days.
those are too old for me. But I use to watch the sci fi channel all the time, I still would If I had cable T.V. but I don't' watch TV that much...don't like it, but yeah I liked the corny Screechers, leaches, dog soldiers, etc. Those movies are awesome :P
I didn't like Dog Soldiers. I kept waiting for light to show the monsters, and was disappointedf in the movie. Ever watch Mystery Science Theater 3000? I used to love watching it, with their corny cracks and plots.
hell yeah! the little puppet guys and their hilarious commentary while the movie played? I saw one a long time ago, it was about like this comet that fell to earth and some guy had a piece of the rock in him or something and he turned into a monster at night or during a full moon. I don't remember what it was called, but my buddy Lowtax did trolls I think.
Let me know if you find out the movie. I probably have it somewhere. MST3K was at the San Diego Comic Con, where I worked as a staff member this summer, but I didn't get a chance to go see them. I'm watching The Cabinet of Dr Caligari right now, a silent movie which is a classic.
is there a site or wherever I can go to see the films they did commentary on? I'd be able to find it if i can see a list or something cause I won't remember the name, but the commentary was fucking hilarious.
You know what? I actually have it on a 10-disc compendium set of horror movies. Try to find the compilation set "Ten Nights of Terror". I happened to check my movie collection and saw it.
I watched it ... well, I tried to watch it. I fell asleep, actually. It could have been an excellent film, had it had the budget it needed, some decent special effects, and decent acting. What I saw of it was ... sorta kind interesting. LOL
Yep. I remember thinking how good the movies were when I was young, then watching them now, and wondering where my sense was. LOL. But then again, I'm buying many at a cut rate (usually $1) and watching them with a nostalgic viewing. I love many of the really bad movies (known as Schlock), and get a kick out movies such as the Japanese Sci-fi of that era. Go Godzilla!
Godzilla is Da Mannn!!! MST3K is Da Bomb! What the world needs now is a good Godzilla movie where he defeats Al Quaeda and gives Bin Laden a hotfoot. LOL
That they do, every few years. But, will it be American or Japanese? Oh! Ever notice in the Japanese Godzilla movies, all the monster, including Godzilla have oriental eyes? Just an observation.
Godzilla 200 was, but the one with Matthew Broderick wasn't that bad. I felt sorry for the monster when they killed it. Hmmm, come to think of it, they might have ripped off the ending from another giant monster that we all know and love. :)
Daniel Argento! lol

Bruatlly cheesy and very poorly dubbed and acted. Yet it's brilliantly bad I absolutely love it! IMO this era of horror films was the best.

All movies from this era are cheesy, but in a good way. The acting is probably bad anyway but the fact that they dub the actors voices makes it worse.
No doubt this is a cheesy film, but it is very watchable. Still funny LOL!
