@0legacyking0 Yes, you are able to live wallpapers. I believe that came with 2.1. Advanced Task Killer just "kills" apps that are still running, which take up memory, which takes up battery. In order to load things faster when you select them, some apps stay running, so that when you select them, it's like opening a window on a computer - you've already loaded up the Internet, gone to your site and everything, but you minimized it. Task Killer just make sure they're completely off.

This review misses a lot of big points with 2.2. First there is speed. The JIT compiler makes everything run faster and smoother, games run better, and app lists show up faster. Also the manage applications section got a major overhaul, there's a new set of calculator widgets, the camera app was improved. There is 270 degree rotation now. The browser is faster and supports faster Javascript as well as better HTML5 capabilities. There's a lot of important stuff missing here.

I like the password protection you mentioned on 2.2. I had a Dell Streak on Android 1.6 for a little under a week before sending it back, one of the reasons being the lack of password protection.

If you notice when you draw a pattern on a touchscreen, your greasy finger print is left behind and is easy to figure out what the pattern lock is, if not wiped clean. Passwords are much harder to figure out by the same method of finger smudge inspection >.>

Looks good, but they're still missing an even remotely decent music player with any options, especially user customizable equalizers. Talk about bare bones. It may be cool to badmouth Symbian nowadays but Symbian by far has the best music player out there that gives users practically everything they could want, sound quality included, no 3rd party app necessary.

Only one problem with Froyo's "apps on sd" (froyo2sd) which is different from the modding community's apps2sd (a2sd): Froyo2sd doesn't create an ext partition like apps2sd, so whenever you connect your phone to your computer and mount the SD card, you can't use any apps that were on the card via froyo2sd.
