I love how the metal crowd are among the most intellectual of all music groups - most complicated music, hard hitting themes, various influences, SHOUTING A LOT, frequent contemplation of genre, so much as to reclassify almost anything - way more than MOST indie/rap/pop/whateverthefuckyouwant. Angry music is smart music, and i love it.
@Eliskoopa most songs talk about themes of love, bitches, money, and bitches. Also romantic themes. When a band decides to make songs about spacemen, crusades-era massacres, and alexander the great, you have to understand there's something going on in their heads.
One other example was when listening to their albums since the late 90's that they produced do remind me alot of progressive bands like Dream Theater and Nevermore by their sound and song structure, but that is what I hear from it at some songs.
I can't help but think of Metallica by this song, and you must all know that I don't mean to say that in any way over as a huge problem against ether band but in all honesty I think that in Iron Maiden's time most significantly during the No Prayer... album since up to now I still always think of Iron Maiden being heavily influenced from other metal bands that ironically were influenced by Maiden in the first place.
