  • i don't think his team is fully a hail counter team. Because Latios is weak to ice and gengar is easy killed by an ice shard.

You're oppenent got lucky with the burn and then played smart to protect it's snorlax.

If the burn didn't occured you should have won the batle.

PS: If i would ever start a hail counter team, i would defently put a stealth rock user in the team. Almost every Ice-type monster is weak to rock. Best Choice would have been een T-tar with Stealth Rock and Rock Slide.

  • ive been a gymleader.

ur team is strong, but u should always bring like 1-3 wildcard(s).

ive got a rock team, and i added Cacturne, Metagross and Crobat.

now it works a lot betr.

  • This is the first time I've ever seen Sword Dance on Abomasnow! I had no idea it could learn it either! The Tail Wing/Sword Dance combo deserved the win in the end here. Weavile getting burned like that was seriously wrong. Atleast you threw them off their game Misa, Now thats what I want to see...more please

  • Thanks for the encouragement atreecko, Swords Dance Abomasnow was something I wanted to use when I found out it could learn it. I think me and Jordan were talking about the Idea back in December 2009. Ugh, that burn on Weavile. of all things to happen.

  • That is what you get for battling a jap: gayness and cheap hax.

  • Easy on the racial stuff. I'm Japanese too.

  • This is the perfect example of a person who just wants to win badly. I mean, bringing Metagross, Snorlax (Two of the most overused pokemon) and Arcanine against a hail team? Come on, be a little more creative....

Your opponent really didn't deserve to win this one. If it wasn't for the burn hax on Weavile, you would of had the match won. As for the friend pass refusal, i would of done the same thing. VGC '09 teams are not interesting in the slightest.

  • That was just a bad time for burn hax

  • awesome vids man!!

  • I hate when you're using themed teams and people bring counters myself. I have a Candice team (well Mono ice and I just named it Candice lol) for singles instead of doubles. Constantly, it meets Metagross, Scizor, Infernape etc. It gets tough.

Awesome match and you still did really well.

  • That was a tough battle.

At least you gave it your all...

  • I'm sorry to say but....you gave up too easily on this battle. Your Articuno could've still taken out that Snorlax on the final turns...and I don't understand why you refrained from using Blizzard with Articuno. Blizzard have a chance to go through Protect with Hail active, and sure, Snorlax has Thick Fat, but Articuno gets stab AND you could've got lucky with a critical hit/freeze hax.

  • Blizzard breaking through Protect only works in the DS version's of the game. Plus, Snorlax can takes hits very well . have you seen it Sp.def stat? it took me a bit to bring Snorlax down to the red, only to have it rest and repeat. also, Articuno doesn't have good Sp.attack. added that my opponents Snorlax had fire punch! there was no way I could win after Weavile went down.

  • @ShionHibikiIsHugable Oh, never realized that wasn't on PBR.....they are overdue for a patch/updated game. >_>

And, I don't know about you, but your Articuno did some decent damage on it anyhow with Hidden Power, as i said, you could've got lucky. XD

Also, another thing is that you could've protected to do Hail damage on Snorlax and then gone for the KO.

I would understand the give up if Snorlax was faster, but...just saying, the battle's not over until the final blow is struck. :P

  • Good point, but I've had it with this opponent when he got that burn and protected to make the burn KO Weavile. I was so mad.

  • @ShionHibikiIsHugable I suppose I understand the frustration. Eh, sometimes you just gotta think there is still a way, even if it seems alittle hopeless. Worked for me on some battles. I will just say you did very great for a mono-team, though, even with odds pitted against you. :>

  • Hm, If Brick Break was done instead os Swords Dance, you would've won. In situations like this, hitting two times is more valuable than an SD'ed attack. It has the same effect but the chance of a Crit would be cut in half.

You did very well though. ^ ^

  • Thinking back. I probably should have done that. thanks though.

  • If your Weavile had gotten a hit with Brick Break, you could've won, but your opponent musta saw it coming and let the burn finish it.

  • I know, but that protect shows my opponent was to focused on winning. it shows a lack of sportsmanship.

  • WOW good fight. I really thought you were going to win.

  • i know how feel i every time i make a time i always get countered by a different pass i which sucks
