  • At the 2:04 mark what looks to be a pumpkin comes a part in spectacular fashion, what brand and what type of 17hm2 ammo was used in that shot and what was the distance between it and the muzzle. Thanks!!

  • @1shot2kilu the ammo was CCI but I've now switched to Eley, as I get better grouping out of it. Cost is about the same, the Eley has purple tips. In this video at 2:04 it's an egg I'm shooting, distance was only about 25m. The pumpkins get shot in my other long range video.

  • Some company needs to make mini ak 47's that fire 17hm2.

  • where did you get you sub-silence suppressor?

  • @xiongmike21 from the site sub-silentsuppressors com. But he can't sell them outside New Zealand. I've just ordered my 3rd off him for my Howa :-)

  • How do you like the scope?

  • @Hollowman110886 still love it. Crystal clear when fully zoomed in, was shooting last week at 175m with no issues at all.

  • @KiwiShoot good if you don't mind how much you get it for? and how is at 300m and within 40m? Thanks for the reply btw

  • @Hollowman110886 it cost me NZ$275 from nzhunter. Within 40m it's good, let's in lots of light at night too when I use it for possums from time to time. I haven't shot it out to 300m, the max was 250m on my other video, nailing those aggressive pumpkins that were attacking me, with a tin of spaghetti as shock troops.

  • @KiwiShoot lol ya thats my favourite part about halloween is the leftover pumpkins. Thanks for the great info and happy shooting!

  • I have that same gun minus bipod and suppressor, and it is not much louder without suppression. I have also found there is a loss a fps with the suppressor my Honady ammo mtered 2235fps. I am sure that it does not take away from the awesome nature of the fire arm, but suppression is not needed

  • i have the exact same gun but stainless

  • @Chriscorle01 no shit fag R700 for short nigger

  • @CabelasOutdoor4x4 I'll pull out my R700 you can't win me boy you just can't with that lil cal .17 funny

  • @lilwalkinglegs R700? you made your self sound like a jackass its called a Remington Model 700 not your daddy's r700

  • simply buetiful

  • Cool video BTW Kiwi! I've got the MkII in .22LR. I was unaware they made it in .17HMR until I seen your vid here. Nice rifle brother!

  • @LesPaul902 cheers. It is a nice little rifle, a bit of a sleeper but one that's going to stay in the gun safe for many years.

  • @KiwiShoot so your savage 17hmr came with a bull barrel?

  • @redmule02 it's a HM2 and yup, bull barrel. Chopped it, and threaded it for suppressor.

  • @KiwiShoot awesome thanks for the info plan on getting one this weekend

  • @LesPaul902 its HM2!

  • @the45operator Oh, my mistake. I'm used to shooting .17HMR so I just naturally typed it.

  • @LesPaul902 Its not in hmr

  • @KiwiShoot im happy 2 by 19

  • @KiwiShoot I don't play with 17hmr its a bicth gun a lil kids toy so go fuck urself and yeah cod is alright I don't give a fuck I have the balls 2 say so u fat fuck

  • @lilwalkinglegs angry little boy.The Internet, giving freedom to idiots all over the world.

  • @lilwalkinglegs I don't see you can say its a bitch gun. First off, that statement doesn't even make sense. Second, spelled bitch wrong, as well as most other words your sentence, so fail on your part. Lastly, and most importantly, The .17HMR round is like the .22LR, extremely underrated by most. The two rounds are both extremely fun to shoot, and can pull off remarkable feats.

See, this kid here is to made an example of. Don't post stupid crap if your either narrow-minded, illiterate, or both.

  • @kenfortmac34 its not a real suppressor the fag's just using subsonic ammo

  • @lilwalkinglegs you should stick to playing COD. The HM2 and HMR ammo isn't made in subsonic, it shoots at 2100fps. Suppressors can be purchased at any gunshop in New Zealand without any restrictions. The one on this rifle is custom made by Rev Rog.

  • Hey where does one find a suppressor for those guns? Or did u make it?

  • @kenfortmac34 Here in the U.S., anyone can own one, depending upon your state I believe, with the addition of a $200 tax stamp. I don't know what lilwalkinglegs is talking about, but neither does he. lol.

  • would get a much better idea of suppression if you put the camera down range, instead of next to you.... I am getting a sub silent suppressor made up for my .223 at the moment looking good so far :)

  • i wish my mark 2 would be able to shoot these that sucks i mean like really they have the same godamn magazine

  • @babbler254 got it from a copyright free site, it's just generic.

  • what make are your scope rings? I have the same rifle in a thinner barrel, have you tried the eley amo in yours?

  • @manostihl I have Leapers scope rings, picked up from NZHunter dot com. Ammo wise all I've been able to buy is CCI and Hornady. Hornady's had a lot of case cracks near the head, so I've stuck with CCI.

  • @babbler254 50 rounds .22 @NZ$7, 17HMW@$12 Not much at all. But I def use less rounds with the HM2.

  • easy to make i make even all my over barrelled supressors i use 48mm tube which is a bit of overkill then i just put 6 washers and 7 spacers and then just rivit the end caps on and thread 1 end for a muzzel can. for an over barrel i make a muzzel break threaded make the O.D. 46mm to fit inside the 48 mm tube and rivit it in 3" down then just make 2 end caps making the hole at the muzzle end about 2mm bigger than the projectile size to avoid any missalignment . its quieter than a gunworks one.

  • @randoriremix Hey pal I got Savage HMR is your supp ressor for the same gun

  • Nice rig!!!

  • Where might one purchase one of these suppressors?

  • @Yhssenior05 don't worry Rog doesn't sell them to the USA, only in New Zealand.

  • @KiwiShoot Darnit!

  • Where might one purchase one of these suppressors?

  • Use a subsonic cartrige like a .22 long, The long rifles break the sound barrier hence the "crack".

  • @DammitDrag it's a 17HM2, not a .22 ! I use CCI subs for my 22.

  • hows the scope, ive read good things about it, and thing to get one maybe for my 10/22.. ive shot with 16x scope to 50m, that was pretty decent, but my own 9x is kinda lacking in zoom for target shooting at that range, so how is the 14x mueller? can you see the bullet holes easily?

  • @TheMrRighteous I like the 14x, it worked well enough for my other video for 270 yards. Have a look at that vid. Could see the targets clearly and the thin cross hairs helped.

Works well for 50m when shooting hi viz / splatter targets, a bit tougher for NRA smallbore targets due to the black, and the HM2 hole is small anyway.

  • where did u get that magazine?

  • Came with the rifle, it's a 10 shot - it's the same as the Savage .22 10 shot magazine if it's any help.

  • thats a badass 17

  • Comment removed

  • you ever shoot eleys. they are cheaper and today i shot better with them than hornadys. nice gun by the way

  • Ta. I couldn't find anything but Hornady and CCI in New Zealand.

  • Hi Ive got the same gun and using that cci ammo I get split cases ,has this happend to your gun cheers

  • Yeah I've had some splits after firing with CCI. Hornady's had splits on the head prior to shooting. Check out the HM2 forum at RFC for photos of it.

  • savage the definition of shity grouping !

  • You're doing it wrong.

  • iv never shot a savage but my mate said its shit

  • lol, change friends.

  • savage are very accurate.i shoot tack's off the target at 20 yards,i can shoot 1" group's at 50 yards and that with a 22. i cant wait to get a 17.

  • your friend must be a tard then. Super accurate tight groups always

  • Shhhhhh, HM2 aka Mach 2 is a good secret to only those who know :-)

  • lol anyone who says these are not accurate should get another hobby

  • DO you notice any wind instability on these smaller, lighter rounds?

  • A little but only when it's really howling. This shoots like a laser at the distance I'm shooting at. And yeah I can thoroughly recommend the HM2.

  • Thanks for the info, I'm off to pick mine up today.

  • Mmmmm nice.

  • Nice Vid!! Who did the Threading for you? Nice to see one of the Rev's Cans on you tube.

  • Ta. Got it done at David Dwen Dwen Airmotive New Zealand Limited, Harvard Lane, 09 2962526
