This is first I've heard this band...GREAT. That first solo is so shredding, yet tasteful. I agree with the anti-bone jovi sentiment. Would LOVE to have this cd & others in this vein...
Nice song by Saints & Sinners but i think that Shake,Rip It Up,Lesson Of Love and Wheels Of Fire are the best songs from this rare album.Hard Rock power with Rick Hughes on vocals
This is a great song for the women to join in on, on the dance floor! Damn some of the women I have gotten a date with through this song alone WOW brings back great memories...
Jeff Salem on the drums! Great guy and doing the Enviro-Drum thing these days....good stuff. So sad that these guys didn't have the timing right. They were great!
@PBGas34 Just checked out some of his stuff. Now he has drum clinics and travels around the nation performing. Too bad this band never made it. I guess he likes what he is doing now. A huge step down from being in a rock band.
This album absolutely smokes! This song does have cheesy lyrics but other tracks are much better. Wheels Of Fire kicks ass & We Belong is a great tune as well. If anyone loves this type of hard rock I have many rare CD's that I don't mind sharing...No Sweat, Cry Wolf, Vamp, Company Of Wolves, all sorts of HTF bands. Just send me a message or reply here if you want me to hook you up with some GOOD music!
Well I've tried a billion times to post the url so you guys can download the whole cd but youtube won't let me. If you want the cd, I have it uploaded so just go to my channel and go to my "website" and it is a direct download link for the zip file. Hope you all enjoy.
One of the best bands ever. I love this cd. I have 2 versions of it, one from Aquarius Records which is out of Canada and the other is the US release from Savage Records. They have different front inserts. NO they are NOT for sale, but if someone wants the tunes, I have it ripped to my computer and I will share.
To the dude that doesn't want to pay $40 for one on ebay, man, I paid $60 for my Canadian issue and the other one I've had a long time and it's well worth the money in my opinion.
And what is up with that fucking dog? They should have put a beagle in the video! Now...that would have been cool! I have a c ouple of beagles who are not shy and love a good lick or two! Plus they love cookies!
Great intro...love it but the rest of the song SUCKS! LOL! They should have kept it heavy and just rocking but they did the Winger shit and lost me! WTF? "Wam Bam Man" WTF? LOL! Keep it heavy and keep it simple like AC/DC does! But I have to admit, the chorus and guitar solo are very cool!
That's actually Stephane Dufour on guitar. He also played with Eric Lapointe in Quebec and is a personal friend of mine. He's "fuzzingaround" on here who just replied below me. We both have the CD ripped to our computers for whoever wants it.
hey, gov1227 i would love a copy of this CD if you have it. I know this is a shot in the dark but, its worth a try. Also looking for Wildboyz and cold sweat. Thanks
This whole cd is great. I so wish these guys lasted. I think they coulda been great. Im sure their 2nd cd would of been awsome. Wildeside and Cold Sweat where great bands too.
I love this CD! I have 1000's but this one consistently finds its way off the shelf into the CD player. When is this music going to make a comeback? Great song! Thanks for sharing!
well if you find another solution...you can just tell me. im actually a big fan of 80's glam rock, but i dont like bands like stakk attak,poison,tigertailz,wasp...trashy hair metal.yuck. but...tesla,whitesnake,saints an sinners, extreme, europe, and bon jovi are great
Just got into these guys. They rock! I can't believe their guitarist Stephane Dufour didn't go on to achieve guitar god status. He can really rip with feel.
This song is shit compared to the rest of the album. If people were ot hear Frankenstein today they'd blow just about every new band off the stage. I love Aldo Nova's guitar solo on that song
this is the most commercial track of the album, maybe that's why it turned out to be the official video:D Frankenstein rocks, but how about Wheels of fire? :-)
Ya know I loved that song, and still do, BUT I think that Wheels is such a bad ass rocker, that it probably goes over much better live. I guess I love that darker side on Frankenstein...shit the whold album rocks!!*lol*
It's funny you mention that, a friend of mine just watched Dokken, XYZ and a few other bands and mentioned that it would've been complete with Saits and Sinners, for the true connaisseurs
oohh Icon just got back together from what I understand. I remember they, along with Pantera were going to be the two next big things...well we know one became big...I'd love to see Icon live
On the liner notes it sites Aldo as a guest guitarist on Frankenstein....the solo is a real simular solo to a couple that are on Aldo's Blood on The Bricks album
This band rose from the ashes of The Mighty SWORD!! A very underrated band from canada. I like this song, but Sword's stuff was so much more powerful. Hughes' vocals were a million miles better too, go check out SWORD ppl!
Yeah, I figured that out eventually... But as I was getting ready to see a Metallica concert, that was just wishful thinking, I supppose:D Many thanks for the info:-)

do you have the album because if you could send it to me i would greatly appreciate it! These guys rock! Could have been one of the best, too soon to late! It sucks when that happens!
Yes!!
This was pretty cool ,though I prefered Sword too . Rick Hughes is singing boring french music now . I really thought there would be a Sword reunion after they put out their greatest hits CD ...but No! No Sword reunion ..
This is one of the bands,(with their harmonies and good hooks) poised to make it big until Nirvana. It has to suck working your whole life playing music and really getting good, then getting signed and think you are on your way..then Nirvana and your record pulls the plug
I know what you're saying and I used to be pretty frustrated with the whole grunge movement but then I got to realize that it all goes in circles and if it weren't that way, the music we love would get very monotonous...how very philosophical of me, huh? :-)
Check out "rip it up" and "takin' my chances", if you like this song; "we belong" is another on this CD. It is one of those post 80's cds that you can listen to all the way through. Check next post.
Loved this band when I used to hear them on the radio in Pittsburgh in the early 90's. Great fun , catchy 80's style melodies, played by a talented band- Aldo Nova and Jon Bon Jovi wrote songs with these guys on this album.
this band rocks!! if you liked this song, listen to rip it up and wheels of fire off of their album. stephane dufour (the fuzz) is one of the most underrated guitar players!!!!!
sword was completely different musicians, the only one that came from sword was singer rick hughes, and yes sword´s cd´s both kicked tremendous ass. i believe also that dan hughes played drums on some tracks on the S&S cd
Stephane Dufour the Guitarist smokes on this album.... he has a solo cd cdalled DISTORTION that is awesome, and solo CD #2 is on the way for end of this summer
This band was originally called Sword, they were from Montreal. They were much heavier, unfortunately the record company turned them into just another hair band with little substance.I was a big fan of Sword and if anyone can find their first 2 albums You'll see how great a heavy metal band they were. Also if anyone has old Sword videos you should post them. Two classics were Stoned Again and The Trouble is.
