I have a question, I am usually a sniper and good at long range kills, but when I get into close combat with a machine gun I almost always loose. Is there anything I can do about that? I would appreciate any help.

@Kioti16 I am a machine gunner and I can tell you, my MG36 can be easily 100 round sniper rifle, good machine gunner will wipe you very easily, I personaly hate bunnyhopping and dont do it, either I am fast enough to aim and shoot him in the head with sniper rifle, or try to get away running (behind obstacles where I can prepare claymore cake) or die with honor, knowing that I wasnt jumping around as some retard when he was mowing me down.

a trick i use that i found effective, simply out of rage at the time lol, is to not use the iron sight alot and just burst fire using the crosshair unless the target is far away obviously. this gives u the concentration of hitting ur target, with the 180 degree visual awareness around u. works great for cqc and infantry only games.

Pretty good tips. Nothing I don't already do though.

I would add a few things:

1. If you're a medic and you see your mate go down and you're gonna go revive him, toss a medbag on him first. That way, if u ambushed, ur morelikely to escape because the medbag will heal you while you take fire from the ambushers.

2. If you're playing with an SMG, use your pistol for long range. It's more accurate than all SMGs in BF2.

3. Don't use L85 in semi. Go auto, take potshots.

Although this video was made for BF2, i would have to say that these tips work very well in any battlefield game, and i think every new BF Players should watch this video because i see a lot of people doing the exact opposite of what you are trying to say, or people that just don't care about others. Lets say you are trying to Take down a tank, and then you get knifed in the back, and when u look at the map, u see a team mate RIGHT BEHIND THE GUY WHO KILLED U, He could have helped u, but didn't.

@MrSolidus13 three things, 1st is rule #1 if the enemy doesn't know where you are don't tell them, do NOT just fire wildly every time you see an enemy, 2nd learn one map and learn it well, variety is nice but knowing every inch of a map, where and when someone will spawn and how you can get the upper hand is better, 3rd find someone who is better than you, join their squad and watch them
