  • At first i got discouraged from this in the summer, i started at 95lbs for 12 reps, now im at 225 for 8 reps. HELPS A LOT ON THE FOOTBALL FIELD!

  • yea...i can do this without bending my knees. :P nice push tho. i will post my 185lbs push soon :)

  • Is this lift mainly for explosive hips?

  • To add to this, rest the barbell on your shoulders, It's going to take some flexibility but the more bar space that is rested on the shoulders the more power can be applied. If the bar is floating on your wrists in the rack position then you will lose power. It's actually pretty good video. Good job.

  • Hi Nate, awesome to see people posting vids like this! A couple of points about your form:

    1. Your dip/drive transition is "soft". You're letting your hips circle forward before driving the weight up, which is inefficient and causes a loss in power. Straight down, change direction, straight back up!

    2. When you dip, you cave your chest forward slightly. When you push up some more challenging weights it will shift the center of gravity too far forward

    Nice work!
