This one video sums everything I love about music. Pure fun and family. God bless Donna and The Duhks. Keeping traditional, old-school dance American music alive and well. Thank you from the bottom of our hearts.
@FastestMan11 well maybe if you like them you should pay for their music, they barely sell any albums because they're not famous and they could use all the support they can get, i applaud everyone who pays for it, AND doesn't post it on filesharing sights
What is the name of this song and who wrote it? I live in upstate NY and hear Donna the Buffalo and Keith Frank sing this in the summertime and I love it. Any help is greatly appreciated.
This song is called down to the river by the Duhks. It's my understanding that the duhks and donna the buffalo have quite a few coinciding tour stops and are friends (which explains why they play together) You should try and make it down to Shakori hills festival in NC to see this kind of stuff. Great time and beautiful people/music
Brought tears to my eyes seing your daughter up there on stage . Reminds me of our daughter playing violin in front of an audience when she was your daughter's age .
Great video...of course I am a little biased, the little fiddle player is my daughter Bailey. We have posted a video of her playing with the Duhks for the first time at Merlefest 07, they even gave her a solo at that one. Also posted is The Duhks Mag-nificent Jam from Magfest 07 with Uncle Earl, Casy Driessen and a few Mammels.
Go little Bailey!!!!!!!

This song was written by Preston Frank, Keith's father- who does it creole style- not quite so frantic. Still a good tune either way.

@ FastestMan11
That's ok; I'm sure the musicians appreciate that their fans are actually buying their music.
