Loved seeing my dad. He would have loved seeing this and i bet he could have recognized everyone and remembered everyone's names. His students were his "other" family. Thanks for posting this. It made me miss him even more.
this video was 1971 or 1972. The t-bone player was Andy Gamez, one of the trumpets was Joe Compeon. I was in the band at that time. So long ago ... memories

Sam Montelongo trombone, Johnny Martinez trombone,was that Herbie Lopez white shirt w/tie? Alma holding the banner w/2 other sweeties,Gene Granado I think,Matias Garcia, who's posing with Matias?
the brass crew out in back look like Joe Compean, Matias Garcia, Mike Ayala, don't recognize the trombone person,wasn't that Sammy ?Amberson? playing oboe.
Shouldn't Tommy Tuggle be somewhere on this video too?
