Yes you are correct. As I state in the book and in the video, James Jermy, who was of African descent, was from England. And yes, there were many people of color in England at the time William and Catherine Booth began their ministry in that country. By the way, your "cough medicine" comment was funny. Don't worry, there were black people in The Salvation Army many years prior than the year you qoute; in the Mother land, since 1865.
