First of all, oh my God you broke your back? Best wishes for your recovery.

Something that helped me with ukulele was realizing the ukulele's fretboard is the same as a guitar's starting at the 5th fret. Except it doesn't have the bass A & E strings. And I guess it is not uncommon to replace that upper G with a bassier one (which I haven't done yet). I loved the cover and be well!
