Hi Alisa, I have your Beginner and Intermediate DVDs & enjoy both. I like your instructional style. I do have a question, if you get a chance at any point. Do you have a suggested modification for Pilates push-ups for a permanent wrist injury? I enjoyed both workouts, but I did modify the initial push-ups by doing additional forearm supported planks. I'm a little stuck on the last series, which relies on being able to support weight on your wrists. Any suggestions appreciated :-)
Thank you for asking and for purchasing my dvds! I do have a few tips that can help with push ups for wrist injuries. Often you can do push ups if you can keep your wrist straighter because that takes pressure off the joint. So instead of placing your hand flat on the mat, try making a fist and doing the push ups that way, or roll the mat up and place the thick part under the heel of your hand. If that's possible at first but gets hard try more reps on your knees to take pressure off. Alisa
@lillenfaith The Snake/Twist builds balance and control in your body and it also wrings out your middle, working your waist, hips and thighs and flushing your lungs and vital organs.
Could you possibly teach and demostrate this most challenging exercise, breaking it down into its component parts. Your work is outstanding.Thank you very much.
@ORIGINALPIL Hi there! We are launching the site this coming Thursday, Dec 29th so please check back soon. We are putting all the finishing touches on it now :).
