  • years ago I was driving a big opencut loader. I was loading trucks. I looked over my shoulder each time because the mirrors are limited. Just this once I stood up and saw the rear boot lid of a car.I stopped got out and walked around the back of the cab and It was the site manager with his 2 little kids in the car. He just drove up and parked behind me, assuming I would see him. Cripes It scared me and I blasted him well and good.

  • These comments are so funny. LOL! Hey! how much are you asking for that paper weight? Just happy noone was hurt. Nice narration. : )

  • fort mac?

  • They can pull the frame out and pop a new windshield in. The seats and carpet will need to be shampooed of course but this bus should be back in commision in a couple of weeks.

  • "Its a lot smaller then last time I remember it." Classic.

  • i want to drive trucks like that one day, rigth now i'm an apprentice, only sad thing is, we dont have trucks that big here in Norway

  • LOL yeah i would say the frame is bent all to hell....

  • All you need is a SHAMWOW; you'll be saying WOW everytime.

  • man that shit will buff out, bring it to my shop i will fix it. wtf happened, its not every day you see a bus just sitting empty in a rock quarry. looks staged to me

  • It's probably a safety demonstration of the dangers when working around heavy equipment like that.

I once drove a container forklift, and if someone was in front of the container, the deadweight could flatten them without me noticing.

We did some testing on a Fiat Panda against a wall, where a buddy of mine was driving the forklift moving a heavy container. I saw the panda flattened against the wall and he said he just felt "a small bump".

    Scary stuff.

  • not a demonstration. It was a real accident. Luckily no one was hurt, they ended up installing solar powered strobe lights on top of all the buses so they can be seen more easily at night.

  • Well, in that case .. how the heck did it hapen ??

  • I don't think this bus needs strobes anymore..

But it's a relief no ppl were hurt.

  • "it might have a good engine, you think the frame is bent" LMAO

  • incredible the power of these mammoths. Thats a 20,000lb bus flattened

  • how much of that would you even feel of that if you were the driver of the big dump?

  • it would just be a little bump.

  • you know those big sea crates that weigh like 30,000lbs I ran one of those over for the same purpose of showing how much power those haul trucks have, it felt like running over a small cardboard box in a pick up truck or a little bump on the road, if i ran over a bus like that and didn't see it i wouldn't have known it from all of the other bumps in the road

  • this was just a simulation North American did to show the seriousness of paying attention to your surroundings in the mining work environment. those haul trucks have lots of blind spots and their drivers can't always see light vehicles, so it is everyone's responsibility to be as safe as they can when working around big equipment like this

  • @Bucyrus495 I highly doubt it had anything to do with North American since I don't think they do any work at that mine.

  • some tea cut and it will be fine trust me:D haha

  • wow... lol

  • Thanks for the video. I dunno what happened with this, but I gave you haulers a WIDE berth, whenever I crossed the smelter exits or heck, any time I thought there might be a meet up with a vehicle as big as those haulers!

Really glad no one was hurt.

  • i think you can buff that out

  • what an idiot,I think the frames bent and the engine might be good

  • Comment removed

  • a few scratches nothing serious it will be good by morning
