Amberly Slope/Church Street junction looking east... Looks like its about to pass over my house! I do remember driving down Fulbridge Road about that time, near Itter Park, many of the trees had branches ripped off. At first we thought it was vandals until we saw the scale of the damage. Thanks for posting.
Im sure some of you have seen the 2005 tornado video I uploaded, if not take a look. Amazingly another tornado has been reported today in Deeping St nicholas. Some of you ask why tornados seem to be so frequent in Peterborough and I asked Torro that very question. One of the reasons is Peterborough happens to be one of the most storm prone locations in the UK and a majority of tornados occur with storms. However another geographical factor must be coming into play!!
y does peterborough get all of the tornadoes!!! i mean i come frm north west UK so lol i want to see them tooo...back to my question...y does peterborough always get em??
living in peterborough is like living in a toilet and the tornado is just like the flush. still its better tham living in the ubend (north west england)
I live in Werrington and I remember this really well. My Dad was living in Gunthorpe at the time and a tree fell into his back garden as a result of this!

i think because peterborough and the fens are very flat and it rains more in peterborough you get more storms and it gets very windy.

I see no supercell or wall cloud? It doesn't look like a real tornado but a landspout. Nonetheless they still cause minor damage.
